We are looking for an exceptionally talented, bright and driven individual to join our Human Resources team as a HR Business Partner. In this role, you will act as a partner to Operations managers, upskilling and coaching Area Managers up to Operations Managers to deliver a great customer experience. You will manage sensitive, complex and/or employee cases, and work with labor relations stakeholders. As an integral part of the HR team, you will execute business strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness and employee engagement, partnering with internal stakeholders to integrate Amazon’s peculiar culture into the employee experience.
The Senior HR Business Partner (Sr HRBP) holds the lead HR role on site. The role’s incumbent operates with autonomy and directly supports multiple senior leaders. He/she manages operational escalations and drives root-cause finding dive deeps and process changes to eliminate reoccurring instances. Process improvements identified must maintain a fine balance between implementing what’s right for this specific site but at the same time, are aligned with broader ES/EU network.
The Sr HRBP implements standard HR processes for his/her site, ensures that HR processes and routines with Operational Leaders are in place, and regularly reviews them for relevance and improvement opportunities. HR processes include establishing regular meetings with Operational Leaders, a regular talent review cadence, robust engagement review procedures dedicated to discussing associate development and well-being, and performance management and counselling of Managers to fulfill their managerial duties. He/she drives alignment with Amazon’s cultural values and Leadership Principles in partnership with leadership to shape and close gaps in the culture in the organization.
The Sr HRBP plays an active part in all matters of associates in the building. He/she acts as the gatekeeper for initiatives from Operations, supporting them but at the same time, ensuring any negative impact on associates is mitigated if not already fully prevented. The incumbent is also responsible to implement strategic plans and improvements for better associate experience. He/she is responsible to build the Amazonculture of Engagement for associates, drive the usage of employee sentiment tools and track actions based on the feedback provided, holding Leadership accountable for results.
The Sr HRBP uses data and provides feedback to leadership’s business strategy. The Sr HRBP manages complex/sensitive investigations in consultation with management, acting ascompliance manager and investigating neutrally and fairly and following Amazon policies and philosophy. He/she manages labor relations if applicable and complex cases with both internal and external parties, while integrating legislative shifts into HR policy and practices.
The Sr HRBP oversees talent processes for his/her site, coaching, educating and partnering with managers to be accountable for talent discussion outcomes, follow-through and next steps. Using data and talent metrics, the Sr HRBP drives retention, diversity and performance management through leadership and identifies and escalates broader themes in performance related matters. The Sr HRBP maintains a strong partnership network that helps him/her to utilize the right resources to foster the success of his/her initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s degree preferably in an HR related field or equivalent
· Experience as an HR Generalist or Specialist
· Experience with MS Office tools and HR Information Systems
· Fluent command of Spanish and English, in both written and verbal form
· Advanced knowledge of local labor law
· Ability to use analytical and experiential data for decision making
· Influencing skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A Master’s degree in an HR related field or equivalent
· Experience in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment
· Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organisation
· Intellectual curiosity to bring new insights to the business, preferably in a multicultural environment
· Ability to work independently, as an active member of both business and HR teams
· Experience managing small to medium scale projects
· Experience as a people leader, with a focus on hiring and developing the best talent
