Within the Transportation team, you will be responsible for driving improvements to complex logistics problems, pursuing strategic initiatives and managing innovation projects across our constantly expanding European Fulfillment Network (and dealing with the inevitable challenges that come with continuous, rapid growth).
Amazon South Europe (Italy, Spain and France) is looking for a customer-focused, highly analytical, experienced Transportation Business Analyst to manage Transportation country capacity planning and drive programs across the organization in order to improve standardization and process efficiency. You will also be accountable for dealing with challenging operational issues that will require a deep analysis of our distribution understanding of our network, and you will have the ability to implement solutions that will influence the short and long-term operations.
You will be responsible for:
· Creating capacity plans to meet demand, reduce cost and improve speed on E2E
· Collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business decisions
· Root cause analysis and uncovering core issue using data, then assisting to create new measures for the wider SEU team
· Leading the development of all weekly and monthly standard reports including continues innovation and improving the use and ease of interpretation of reports and analysis
· Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across the team to improve processes and customer experiences
· Working with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
· Supporting the country internal team and senior leadership in preparing capacity planning during the year and for specific event like peak
· Drive deep dive analysis in case of any forecast deviation, volume allocation or capacity gap at any level compared to the plan

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
· A degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Economics or similar fields
· Consolidated experience (4+) in Transportation, Logistic or Supply Chain with a high-volume logistics, manufacturing or engineering environment
· Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, BI Engineer or Systems Analyst preferably in a large-scale company with a complex data sources
· Intermediate to advance proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, VBA) and SQL
· Experience in data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight)
· Ability to take complex business problems and translate them into clear and accurate results
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
· Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
· Mother tongue Italian/Spanish/French and fluent written and spoken in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications
· Python skills are a plus
· 3+ years of planning and/or engineering data driven experience in different sectors
· BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related business field.
· Experience profiling data, data modeling and researching possible data quality issues
· Experience working with both business and operations teams with deep experience on existing systems and data sources
· Track record of strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience, including senior executives, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses and contribute to documents
· Third spoken language appreciated (Italian/Spanish/French)
