We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join the People Experience and Technology (PXT) Ops International Central and Support Functions (ICSF) as a HR Business Partner.

Amazon is seeking an exceptionally talented, innovative, extremely hands-on, customer-obsessed PXT leader with a passion for establishing and developing first-class PXT strategies to join our highly professional PXT department.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the relationships with client group business leaders, including Directors.
  • Develop and own the delivery of the strategic PXT plan for each business supported, ensuring consistency with EU and global PXT goals.
  • Act as a consultant to your client groups and provide input on the PXT implications of strategic and operational decisions and plans, acting as an integral member of each group’s management team.
  • Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of compensation and benefits and development activity.
  • Support and develop line managers in driving a performance culture through coaching, facilitating talent assessments and succession planning meetings.
  • Provide expert input to your client groups as well as the ICSF team in terms of employment legislation, policies and practices.
  • Support the design and delivery of appropriate training and development programs.
  • Deliver on business-critical PXT related projects.
  • Ensure alignment of PXT related programs by partnering with peers and colleagues in Seattle and other EU locations and also across both the Operations and Corporate business units.

  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employee and corporate group to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Proven knowledge and practical application of PXT practices and employment laws
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Coaching and mentoring experience at management level
  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward program
  • Will be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus
  • Ability to develop strong working relations at all levels
  • Talent to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; orientated on results - while retaining all relevant information

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field is required
  • Fluency in written and spoken English essential
  • Expertise in European employment law
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate others and influence work behaviours
  • Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, make best use of limited resources
  • High dependability – be there to support the business
  • Decision Making/Complex Problem Solving- proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources; conducts root cause analysis; refers to long term plans and goals; acts decisively, promptly and confidently; complex analysis
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team/business, especially in a multicultural and multi-location environment
  • Negotiation and influencing skills; able to listen to and persuade others based on sound logic
  • Proven presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency, in particular, in Spanish highly preferred
  • Fluency in other European languages
