With more and more customers to be served in Europe, Amazon is opening new Fulfillment Centers every year. The EU Startup Team is responsible for getting these buildings ready with everything in place ready for the first package to leave the site. The vision of Startup Supply Chain team is to provide excellent support to 40 deployment projects per year, ensuring on time supply & assembly of about 4.000 items per project, from over 500 suppliers in 9 countries.

The EU Startup Supply Chain team is looking for a motivated Logistics Specialist to manage Transport and Warehouse activities for reverse logistics and Redistribution flow.

Your primary role will be to collaborate with the Project Managers and Supply Chain teams to transfer material and ensure safe logistics conditions. You will interact with Third Parties Contractors who are in charge of Excess storage and drive the process for material handling. Job will also include deep dive of processes, definition of new procedures and set up of policy guidelines to maximize efficiency over all EU facilities.

This role will involve 30% traveling around Europe.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate transportation, loading and unloading activities for material transfer between Amazon deployment projects.
  • Promote highest standard for safety and ergonomics into all Supply Chain material handling processes.
  • Support coordination of Asset Redistribution Centers, where material is temporarily stored for future usage.
  • Responsible for daily completion of process task for asset transfers and related transportation.
  • Monitor physical inventory on regular basis and ensure asset are stored in safe conditions.
  • Support Warehouse management daily activities.
  • Propose safety measures, security upgrades and improvement initiatives for Asset Redistribution Centers.
  • Ensure data accuracy and alignment with Finance team
  • Evaluate work flow and propose improvements for Inbound, Storage and Outbound processes.
  • Set up control measures to ensure procedure and policies guidelines are met.
  • Work in partnership with Third party Contractors team to introduce innovative solutions and elevate Amazon Standards
  • Support reporting of Inventory status and monitor accuracy
  • Propose and support implementation of innovative solutions to simplify and automatize IT systems and in the same time facilitate collaborative working among multiple functions, including external parties.

Basic Qualifications
  • Fluent/business proficiency in both Spanish and English
  • Experience in large company with complex supply chain processes with multiple inventory locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and experience of dealing with both internal and external customers/suppliers at all levels.
  • Ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet organizational capacity needs
