- Selling the benefits of Auctane platforms and how they can help carriers to enter new markets, grow their market share, and reduce costs of acquisition
- Build out and maintain a strong pipeline of business opportunities aligned with our strategy and core strengths, growing revenue in line with immediate business plans and our broader strategy
- Leveraging insights from across our platforms and the wider industry to proactively identify opportunities we can explore in conjunction with carriers
- Reacting quickly to inbound enquiries from carriers seeking to partner with Auctane, establishing necessary technical, commercial or legal frameworks
- Developing new business models, quantifying the future value for Auctane, calculating the return on any investment necessary whilst ensuring executive sponsorship where required
- Renewing agreements from time to time, ensuring we maintain the commercial balance to our partnerships. This will involve negotiating detailed terms and conditions across multiple Auctane brands, commercial models and geographies.
- Working cross-functionally during the sales process to ensure opportunities have the right level of technical and operational support
- Experienced professional from the eCommerce or carrier industry, with a broad understanding of the players across the market in the UK and Europe
- Track record of winning in sales and a demonstrable ability to develop lasting commercial relationships with influencers and change-makers within organisations of various sizes
- Entrepreneurial mind-set who can see the potential for tech to open up new ways of marketing carriage and can talk confidently about the underlying solutions which drive this
- A genuine interest in business is required. You need to have an understanding of what is holding back our partners and how we can help them overcome those challenges or maximise the value of opportunities presented
- Exceptional communication skills and ‘executive presence’ with experience developing and refining compelling narratives based on a deep understanding of customer pain points and market dynamics
- Able to recognise when to leverage expertise from across the business, bringing in the right people to the sales cycle when required
- Able to influence, leveraging available resources and information in order to lead our customers and partners in the right direction
- Highly numerate and analytical, you have attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills
- Well organised – able to process multiple opportunities concurrently and maintain good administration
- Working knowledge of e-fulfilment and carrier operations
- Experience negotiating parcel delivery rates, terms and conditions
- Up to 20% bonus, paid quarterly
- Hybrid position with a mix of being office based and WFH
- 25 days holiday (increasing to a max of 30 based on length of service, once you have been with us for 2 years you have 27 days, 5 years is 30 days)
