Job Summary

Avantor is looking for a motivated, customer-friendly Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Equipment to join our team in Spain.

The role can be based either in Madrid or Valencia.

Within this role you are mainly responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing laboratory equipment on the site at our customers.

After a thorough internal training, you will work on location with our professional customers. You will work with products and solutions with an excellent reputation in their sector for innovation and quality, and this in a professional environment with highly regarded customers including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, universities.

What We Are Looking For

Education: You have a graduate degree in electronics or electromechanics.

Experience: Intermediate experience. in the maintenance and repair of professional or industrial equipment.

Knowledge of Chromatography and HLPC Highly desirable.

Familiarity with SAP is an advantage

Experience & hands-on skill in Excel spreadsheet & V-lookup

Language skills: you are fluent in Spanish, and preferably you also speak English.

Driver's license: you are in possession of a B driving license

Personality: You are flexible, like a challenge and attach great importance to customer friendliness.

How You Can Make a Difference

• You are responsible on-site at the customer for the preventive maintenance, calibrations and repairs of laboratory devices.
• You advise the customer on the necessary work to be carried out and the necessary parts for this.
• You are responsible for on-site interventions on lab equipment.
• You perform validations on lab equipment.
• You provide technical training to customers.
