Product Manager for space sector
DEIMOS is selecting a product manager to be integrated in the Flight Systems Business Unit, to support the development of commercial products for space applications in the European and international markets.
The work of the Flight Systems Business Unit is the design of space missions and the development of Software and Avionics products for the Space sector. As a matter of reference, DEIMOS’ Flight Systems Business Unit activities cover:
- Launch vehicles
- Earth observation (EO) satellites
- Satellite servicing (SSV) and active debris removal (ADR) missions
- Entry, descent, and landing on planets (Earth, Mars) & natural satellites
Planetary exploration and observation, including interplanetary navigation
Main Duties:
The following types of responsibilities are envisioned:
- Defining ‘market ready’ products and services based on the portfolio, supporting the company’s strategy.
- Define, deliver and maintain the ‘product roadmap’ and the ‘go-to-market’ for all products in the portfolio, collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams. This includes: Product sales pack, Pricing, Marketing material, competition matrix, Licensing, T’s & C’s.
- Liaising with stakeholders to develop join products and services
- Implement the products in line with the company strategy and the targets defined in collaboration with the Sales Operational Plan (OP).
- Be the liaison between all the relevant internal departments, Operations, Sales, Engineering, Marketing and Legal to ensure the products meet customer requirements in compliance with the company’s policy
- Deliver business cases (new) and business case reviews (existing) for the products, prioritizing features and functionality focusing on key customer requirements and ROI.
- Develop pilots with early-stage products for internal and external customers to gain key product feedback.
- Stay up to date with industry news, competitive intelligence and new business models, gathering market intelligence to influence our own product developments.
- Support the dissemination of EC projects, designing the dissemination plan, including some PR and marketing actions and coordination with international consortiums
Education:
A recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or a degree in economics, marketing or communication.
Professional Experience:
A minimum experience of 5 years as product manager is required. Experience in working with national and European institutions in the space sector will be highly considered.
Language Skills:
Very good level of English, spoken and written
