Job Description
We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 3+ years of experience in Oracle database
administration (versions 11.2.0.3 to 19c) and hands-on involvement in cloud-based database migrations, particularly
within AWS environments (EC2 and RDS).
This role is ideal for a mid-level DBA who is comfortable working in Linux environments and is looking to participate
in international technical migration projects, collaborating with senior experts in moving Oracle databases to AWS
RDS Oracle or Aurora platforms.
A strong command of English (spoken and written) is essential due to frequent collaboration with global teams and
detailed technical documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the planning and execution of Oracle database migrations from AWS EC2 to AWS RDS Oracle/Aurora,
minimizing downtime and ensuring secure cutover.
• Administer Oracle databases (11g to 19c) across production and non-production environments on AWS.
• Maintain and update post-migration documentation.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery policies.
• Set up and fine-tune monitoring solutions.
• Automate repetitive tasks and contribute to continuous improvement during the migration lifecycle.
• Use AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) to facilitate cloud transitions.
• Conduct performance tuning and bottleneck analysis using tools and execution plan reviews.
• Collaborate in international technical meetings with infrastructure, development, and security teams.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation in English: manuals, procedures, reports, and guides.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle DBA roles.
• Experience with Oracle versions 11.2.0.3, 12c, 18c, and 19c.
• Practical expertise in:
o Oracle Data Guard
o RMAN (setup, backup/recovery, monitoring)
o DATAPUMP
o PL/SQL scripting
o Linux shell scripting (bash, ksh)
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud database services, particularly:
o EC2 Oracle instances
o RDS Oracle/Aurora (backup, replication, monitoring)
Nice to Have
• Experience with other databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools/environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Oracle and/or AWS certifications.
Soft Skills
• High degree of technical autonomy and incident resolution capability.
• Proactive attitude towards automation and process optimization.
• Ability to work effectively in high availability and critical environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
