Collecting, managing and analyzing the information and data of the research activity carried out at IE according to IE's strategic objectives, for different departmental and institutional purposes, and design, prepare and provide reports related to this activity, including key indicators of relevant parameters for the measure and assessment of science and academic activities, specifically those highlighted by the Vice-Dean / Vice-Rectorate for Research.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting, treatment, validation and update of all the information and data related to the research activity at IE in general, using the institutional tools available for such purposes (databases, apps, platforms).
- Collecting, treatment, validation and update of the information of the Curriculum Vitae of IE researchers members of internal faculty, using the institutional tools available for such purposes (databases, apps, platforms).
- Interacting and communicating with the IE researchers members of internal faculty to obtain data on their research activity, and to support them and respond to their requests or needs related to it, as well as with the IE Departments that provide or request data related to the research activity at IE.
- Creation, preparation and completion of different reports related to the scientific activity at IE and/or to IE researchers, for the following institutional purposes: career evaluation of researchers, institutional participation in ranking procedures and official and private accreditations, dissemination and communication of IE´s scientific expertise and results, preparation of research proposals, institutional strategic planning, and in general, to prepare reports related to research activity for any other aims of interest as specifically highlighted by the Vice-Dean / Vice-Rectorate for Research.
- Analyzing, creating, validating and reporting of indicators and measures of scientific activity level and quality at IE and of IE´s researchers and their profiles, using as reference standards those of the internationally recognized platforms for scientific bibliometric information (JCR, Scopus, etc), productivity, quality and impact, as well as of other indicators related to relevant aspects of research activity at IE.
- Developing other special projects according to the needs of the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Business (with Data analysis specialization)/ Bachelor in Information and Documentation (with bibliometrics and data analysis specialization)/ Bachelor in Applied Data Science (preferably with familiarity in Business Intelligence)
- Experience in the use or design of databases and data management/processing software.
- Advanced management of office applications (MS Office), especially Access and Excel
- Proficiency in the spoken and written English language. (Bilingualism required) ·
Additional desirable skills:
- Knowledge of SQL and Python programming languages or similar.
- Skills for customer service
