Please note that this is a fixed term contract for 23 months full-time 40h per week.
Main purpose of the role
Withing Delivery team, Product Owners are responsible for delivering improvements for D2C product(s) in line with EMEA vision.
Product Owners are responsible for identifying opportunities, have those designs and sized. Product Owner work data-driven this is why the role is responsible to create business cases for change.
Product Owners, not just work with multidisciplinary teams, but wear many hats and functions: business analyst; case creation; triage; SME; tester (against written requirements); ambassador; scrum; crisis negotiator; cheerleader; marketer; trainer; etc.
Product Owners are in charge of managing and prioritising their own backlogs, as well to support grooming other backlogs ensuring alignment towards the vision. Prioritization will be data-driven and against ROI / ROE, maximizing the value delivered.
Backlog consists on tickets generated within the stream, from other streams or from other stakeholders within the business.
Working in an agile framework, Product Owners will be applying the continuous improvement approach in every agile cycle/iteration
Key responsibilities
Product Ownership
- Represent the consumer and anticipate their needs
- Understand and contributes to EMEA D2C vision
- Is responsible to plan and manage Product Roadmap
- Manages data and report on product performance
Product Roadmap
- Build a product strategy aligned with the vision that considers the needs of the different streams
- Be responsable for product Roadmap
- Be responsible for product Roadmap communication
- Plan and manage the annual Product Roadmap
- Plan and adjust the deliverables within the product Roadmap (Rolling wave planning)
- Manage risks and dependencies
Backlog Management
- Gather and analyse requirements:technical, commercial, functional, etc
- Create own product requirements from benchmarking activities
- Ensure requirements are properly documented
- Own the product backlog(s): managing own backlog and help grooming backlogs of other streams
- Prioritization. Provide ROE/ROI scores, determining which activities contribute the most business value.
Delivery
- Be responsible for the delivery of product Roadmap
- Ensure quality delivery in scope, in budget and on time
- Have an eye for simplicity
- Identify and obtain reusable assets
- Work with other Product Owners, providing together the optimal product solution
- Organise and Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for an optimal product delivery
- Build strong working relationships across departments
- Identify, size and manage dependencies affecting the delivery
- Lead planning of agile cycle/iterations
- Participate in daily review sessions
- Accept or reject work done. (Acceptance)
- Evaluate product progress at each iteration
- Define metrics and take measurement
- Monitors and reports on measurements
- Track ROE/ROI
- Facilitate go-to-market
Other functions
- Be product SME
- Support Business Analysis
- Support Business Case creation
- Support Delivery Management Framework. maintaining, supporting tools and inputting into the WoW
- Share knowledge with the organization
- Demo and train on product functionalities
Documentation
- Ensuring projects and solutions are documented appropriately according to the Project Management Framework defined
Knowledge required
- 5+ years of experience in online environment and transactional websites
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial position
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, processes and tools
- Experience of managing projects and programmes with a mixed team of internal and external resources.
- Experience of working with a leading SI
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to get the best performance out of employees and vendors.
