Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, business administration, or a related field
• Outstanding academic record and ideally, demonstrated extracurricular activities
• Solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology
• Knowledge of the Spanish macro-economic environment
• Solid Excel & Power Point skills
• Professional attitude and service orientation, team player
• Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and patience in a fluid environment
• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively in both English and Spanish
  

What You'll Do

You will support teams in helping leading organizations from around the world in the private, public, and social sectors solve their most difficult issues.

In this role, you will leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts. This will be combined with your strong analytical abilities, allowing you to efficiently respond to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights on the Spanish market to our consulting teams and clients locally and globally. In time, you will also participate in, and eventually lead, internal knowledge development and capability-building initiatives.

Day-to-day tasks may include a variety of analyses, such as benchmarking, trend identification, industry profiling, market sizing, growth projections, and opportunity scanning. Typical end products are PowerPoint documents, written memos, models in Excel, and frameworks. Who You'll Work With

You’ll be based in our Madrid office and will be part of our Client Capabilities Network (CCN). Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Networkdeliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation.

You’ll work closely with 2 local team colleagues with whom you will be collaborating daily and join a community of around 10 analysts from other capabilities & insights teams in Madrid. Additionally, you will interact with a wide range of McKinsey colleagues locally and internationally.

Your focus will be on providing research and coverage on a wide range of industry and business topics for Spain. In time, you will get the opportunity to develop your expertise in a relevant industry or business function. McKinsey leaders will provide sponsorship and mentor you to build your capabilities.
