Responsible for managing, supporting, and building the Social Strategy Core Hub team in Madrid to provide services to multiple teams around the world (time zone Europe). We build brands in social so a key focus of this role will be to bridge the gap between brand strategy and tactical social strategy.

Will be involved in the Social.Monks existing category team, working closely with the Global VP of Social Strategy as the main connector between the structure and core talent. In addition to the social category, the Social Media Strategy Hub Director must be comfortable working with other categories and having cross-team collaboration between different teams/categories/specialties.

In conjunction with managing the Social Media Strategy Core Hub, will also be asked to provide social media strategies, trends analysis, PoVs, frameworks, and analyses (both internal and external), along with structured solutions and measurable results that apply to its hub’s area (Data & insights, Planning, Creative Editorial, Influencer Marketing, Paid Social).


  • Organization and team management of New Business, special projects, ad hoc and transition projects.
  • Oversees multiple strategy & brand planning projects with a greater focus on thought leadership and cultural connections.
  • Leads a developing social media planning & strategy for New Business.
  • Lead strategist for all Social new business pitches in EMEA. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic development through boiling down information, insights, and research findings into a brand/comms strategy that is simple yet powerful and aligned with what the clients’ brands really need.
  • Partners with the country lead to setting the social strategy for local projects (Transitions)
  • Presented to senior-level clients as the most senior agency resource for their pillar in the region.
  • Performs all strategy tasks as needed to support new business, identify opportunities or course-correct at-risk projects.
  • They are highly visible to the client's senior management and working team members and are responsible for presenting program thinking and planning to both audiences.
  • As our go-to Monk for social media strategy for New Businesses, you’ll play a central role in pitching for new projects and the strategic development of existing projects.
  • Be able to provide guidance to the planners to develop briefs for big platform ideas that will be translated across channels with a focus on building brand equity and driving measurable ROI.
