Summary:

 

  1. Responsible for overseeing the General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions and the financial services area, including Accounting, Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P).
  2. Responsible for overall daily office and support operations of the company and management of administrative staff.


Responsibility and Authority:


  1. Review the general accounting function, monitor and analyze accounting data. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
  2. Ensure that financial records of the companies under responsibility are maintained in compliance with Group policies and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  3. Supervision of the companies’ taxes (mainly VAT, withholding, Corporate Income Tax and deferred taxes) from an accounting perspective.
  4. Analysis and preparation of all financial reports under IFRS in an accurate and timely manner, in compliance with policies, directives and reporting requirements of the Group.
  5. Preparation of Financial Statements and Annual Accounts of the companies under responsibility
  6. Management responsibility of General Accounting, A/R and A/P teams.
  7. Integration with the Parent Company in processes and guidelines, assistance to the CFO with post-merger integration tasks.
  8. Implementation of SAP (FI-CO modules) in subsidiaries
  9. Provide recommendations, improve processes, policies, systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions for Accounting, Finance and the interfaces and links with other Departments and Divisions.
  10. KPI’s analysis, control of margins and profitability by business unit
  11. Coordination of internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Liaise with auditors and responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings
  12. Communication with external lawyers and advisors, solution of legal and tax issues.
  13. Provide technical accounting guidance and support to all subsidiaries under control.
  14. Management and review of payments and collections, control of expenses and compliance with the company procedures (Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Fixed Assets).
  15. Manage administrative staff and lead organizational planning of administrative and accounting tasks.


Education and Experience:


  1. Business Administration degree (major in finance), ideally with a related Master in Accounting
  2. Minimum professional experience of 5 years in Audit in a Big-Four Firm managing international companies, and involved in projects of financial reporting under IFRS, risk assessment and business strategy projects.
  3. Demonstrable experience in setting up new processes and systems.
  4. Strong knowledge of book-keeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  5. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting and reporting software, databases
  6. Experience with SAP (FI-CO modules), SAP implementations and interfaces with business applications
  7. Full professional proficiency of spoken and written English
  8. Experience in managing and leading teams of a minimum of 10 people, planning and coordinating each person, establishing and assigning goals and target bonus, reviewing the work, supporting the diary performance, evaluating and giving feedback
  9. Experience in communicating with the Management of the companies (CEO, CFO and main directors of the departments), presenting the results of the company to Board of Directors and Audit Committees.
