Job Description Summary:

The Business Operations Analyst Internship will be based in Madrid and will report to the Head of Business Operations, Southern Europe (SEU). Meet our team The SEU Business Operations team combines analytical, reporting, internal consulting and executional skills to support VP of SEU Enterprise Sales and the Sales Leaders in France, Italy and Spain & Portugal in managing the SEU franchise. The team members leverage their skills across a broad range of operational topics, regional/global initiatives in different parts of the business, but always with the aim of driving the growth of PayPal SEU. These activities include executive reporting, pipeline management, performance management, operational cadence coordination, site engagement, product excellence, and project/programme management. Internship location – Madrid, Spain Internship duration – 6 months, starting July 2023

Job Description:

This internship will be a critical support to the Head of Business Operations on the daily activities, e.g., pipeline management, performance management, sales forecast and executive reporting. Besides, the intern will support the management team on valuable analytical insights, e.g. competition landscape, top shopping destinations, to assure the sales activities seamlessly spreading across the region to attain target achievements. Additionally, they/he/she will be the business operations point of contact for Iberia region and supporting also the Iberia sales director closely on business operations topics.

Your day to day

• Collaborating internally with business operations team to analyze sales portfolio and pipeline insights, e.g. pipeline movement, new vertical insights, win/lost analysis, to drive sales effectiveness;
• Coordinating leadership operational cadence and align with cross functions on efficient collaboration model, e.g. MT meeting, Staff Meeting etc;
• Coordinating with teams and prepare slide decks for executive and other major presentations/events;
• Driving market insights for Spain & Portugal, e.g. E-commerce sizing, new vertical research & opportunities, competitor watch, voice of consumers etc;
• Supporting charity vertical expansion in Spain & Portugal.
  
  

What Do You Need To Bring-

• Energetic and positive, hungry to learn and challenge, creative, reliable, results focused with a can-do attitude
• Detail driven and independent
• Interested in the operational, marketing and financial aspects of businesses in general
• Strong in analytics and problem solving. Proficient with SQL is a plus.
• Highly organized, attention to detail and follow-through. Should enjoy problem solving, fixing processes
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and excellent in MS Excel, especially in dealing with large datasets
• Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Master degree in business, economics or data science at leading University
• English and Spanish proficiency, Portuguese will be a strong plus
• Be available for at least a 6-month internship starting from early July 2023 and availability of 12 month is preferred
