The role will be reporting to the Head of Group Reporting and would ideally suit a bright, articulate and self-driven individual. The role involves significant interaction and working together with the country finance controllers and the Shared Service Centre in Barcelona, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

The successful candidate will focus on developing the Group financial reporting, processes and controls within the group as well as supporting the monthly management and statutory accounts and audit to a very high standard. There will be lots of freedom and scope to develop the function.

The role is a key position to control and develop our general ledger system and enhance its functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly Consolidations and management reporting.
• Preparation of Group entities reporting packs
• Perform the revaluation run for the group and other month-end group tasks (i.e. intercompany matrix, FX rates updates, etc.)
• Support on Group Treasury forecast.
• Preparation of the monthly Board report for the Group P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
• Support on Annual Group accounts preparation and audit support.
• Assist in the setup of new legal entities globally and any other finance system support.
• Gatekeeper of the Global Chart of Accounts and finance contact for General ledger.
• Updating Group Finance policies and procedures.
• Liaising with external advisors on corporate tax and transfer pricing matters.
• Adhoc analysis as required, including support over process improvements and the control environment.
• It is anticipated that this role will play a key part on any new finance system development

Requisites:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential

• High level of IT literacy, particularly in excel
• Ideally trained within practice then moved into industry, or experience within group accounting roles within industry.
• Recognised professional accounting qualification
• Ideally experienced in a multi-currency, multi-dimensional environment.
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Proactive attitude.
• The individual should be a self-starter capable of supporting the business and making an impact, reviewing and improving processes and working across all areas of finance, with a `can do¿ and flexible attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to ensure deadlines met.
