Ensures System Engineering activity management within constraints provided by the PM, the PDA and Architects:
- During planning phase, defines the system development plan in consistency with that of lower elements (dependences, co-engineering activities).
- Leads the technical risks identification, mitigation plans and follows their implementation in order to guarantee early design justification
- Tailors the system engineering environment (process, practices and tools) according to project’s requirements and category.
- During execution phase, ensures overall engineering management through coordination / piloting of all engineering stakeholders (“chef d’orchestre” role), to comply with project milestones and costs
- Allocates responsibilities to individual contributors.
- Ensure WPM role for the system engineering activities
- Functionally reports to Project Manager
We are looking a candidate with:
- Degree in Engineering
- Strong and proven track record on large space systems development as system engineering manager, system architect or technical lead (PDA)
- Preferably for high end missions, in a large-scale and complex global organization
- Very good understanding of development cycles
- Responsible
