Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Intern for the Supply Chain department in our Madrid office.

Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career.

Students will get the opportunity to enter in Industrial Power projects. The role is offered to fit in students of last academic year with limited pending course obligations.

The selected candidate(s) will cooperate assisting and directly performing – under the mentorship of senior colleagues – specific tasks as follows:

• Request for Quotations and follow-up process.
• Economic evaluation of the proposals received
• Deviation Analysis versus Budget
• Search for new suppliers
• Expediting of suppliers and schedule management
• Supporting Logistic activities
  

Skills / Qualifications

• Last academic year or master's degree in Engineering
• Excellent command of Spanish
• Excellent command of English
• Microsoft Office proficient, including strong proficiency in Excel.
• Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center
• Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation)
• Able to manage own time and ability to prioritize at busy times
• Creative and practical
• Adaptable and persevering
• Interested in pursuing a career within engineering
• Good communication skills within a team and externally
• Development experiences and challenges.
• Motivated in bringing new perspectives and injecting fresh ideas into our department processes
• Immediate availability
  

Desirable:

• Valuable knowledge in ERP management tools
