Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532017) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social science, science, or other healthcare-related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, the willingness to learn new skills, a strong commitment to high quality research, good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize work and maintain a high level of effectiveness. Experience in clinical research and proficiency in statistical programming (e.g. SPSS, R, and SAS) would be advantageous. Fresh graduates (in particular in psychology) are most welcome to apply.
The appointee will provide research support to funded projects, and our work would include psychosis and autism research, electronic health-record studies, neurocognitive studies etc. He / She will handle project preparation; collect, manage, and analyse data; and perform other duties as assigned. This post provides an excellent training opportunity for those who plan to pursue postgraduate studies in clinical and research field.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, clinical medicine or any related disciplines. Graduate research experience or a plan to pursue graduate research would be an advantage. The ability to communicate in Cantonese as well as mastering of good data analysis skills is essential, in particular imaging and big-data analytic skills. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; a proactive problem-solving approach; a strong commitment to high quality research; and the will to persist and persevere through challenges.
The appointee will participate in research on early psychosis, treatment resistant state of schizophrenia and neurodevelopmental disorders utilizing clinical, neurocognitive, biological and neuroimaging approaches. Opportunities for joining study programs using big data analytics and imaging projects under supervision will be provided. He/She will develop and execute research programmes, conduct clinical interviews and neurocognitive assessments with patients, assist in neuroimaging processing, and perform data entry and analyses.
