Join Kave and help define the future of our design identity

At Kave, we believe great brands are built through great products.

The products we create shape how people experience our brand, the spaces they live in and the stories they tell in their homes. Over the last decade, Kave has built a strong and internationally recognised design brand. As we enter our next chapter, our ambition is not simply to grow our catalogue, but to strengthen our point of view as a company. We want to develop an increasingly distinctive, recognisable and timeless design language.

We want every collection, every campaign and every customer touchpoint to feel unmistakably Kave. To help us achieve this, we are looking for a Design & Creative Director.

A strategic leader responsible for shaping the creative vision of Kave, connecting product design, brand expression and culture into one coherent and inspiring universe. This is a role for someone who deeply loves products and design, but who also understands that great products only reach their full potential when they are communicated, presented and experienced in the right way.

Your Mission:

As Design & Creative Director, you will define and evolve Kave's creative vision, ensuring that product, collections, storytelling and brand expression work together as one consistent and distinctive system.

You will lead the Design team, collaborate closely with the Brand and Marketing teams and help shape the creative identity that will guide Kave over the coming years.

You will not only influence what products we create.

You will influence how they are interpreted, communicated and experienced by millions of customers around the world.

What You Will Do:

Define Kave's Creative and Design Vision

• Define and evolve Kave's long-term creative vision.
• Build a distinctive design language that transcends trends and creates long-term brand equity.
• Establish clear creative principles around form, proportion, materiality, colour, finishes and functionality.
• Ensure all collections contribute to a coherent and recognisable Kave identity.
• Translate the company's ambition and values into tangible design principles.

Shape Kave's Product Identity

Working closely with the Design team and the Product organisation, you will:

• Help define the creative direction of collections and categories.
• Challenge, refine and elevate product concepts.
• Ensure a consistent design narrative across all product families.
• Balance innovation, functionality, commercial relevance and aesthetic quality.
• Contribute to defining what Kave should and should not become.

While our Principal Designers will remain key experts in product design and development, you will ensure that individual products contribute to a larger creative vision.

Connect Product and Brand

This will be one of the most important parts of the role.

You will work closely with Brand, Marketing, Retail and Content teams to ensure a seamless connection between what Kave creates and what Kave communicates.

Responsibilities include:

• Bringing product stories to life.
• Helping shape collection narratives.
• Participating in campaign ideation.
• Contributing to creative direction for launches and strategic moments.
• Collaborating on art direction, styling, retail experiences and visual storytelling.
• Ensuring product and brand evolve together rather than independently.

You should genuinely enjoy collaborating with marketing and brand teams and see communication as a natural extension of product creation.

Lead and Develop the Design Team

• Lead and inspire the Design team.
• Build a culture of excellence, creativity and accountability.
• Coach and develop design talent.
• Define future capabilities and organisational needs.
• Create an environment where creativity and execution coexist.
• Raise the overall level of creative thinking across the function.

Great design alone is not enough. We are looking for a leader capable of building a world-class team.

Partner with Merchandising and Product Leadership

Working closely with the Range Director and Product teams, you will:

• Contribute to category visions and product roadmaps.
• Help identify white spaces and future opportunities.
• Bring an independent creative perspective into portfolio decisions.
• Ensure that commercial ambitions never come at the expense of long-term brand differentiation.
• Balance business objectives with creative integrity.

The strongest collections emerge through collaboration between creative and commercial perspectives.

Connect Kave to Design and Culture

• Maintain a constant pulse on design, architecture, interiors, fashion, arts, materials and culture.
• Identify emerging movements and opportunities relevant to Kave.
• Build relationships with leading designers, studios, architects and creative talent.
• Help position Kave as a company with a distinctive and respected creative voice.

Lead Strategic Collaborations

• Identify collaboration opportunities with designers, creatives and cultural institutions.
• Define collections and initiatives that increase relevance and differentiation.
• Build an external creative ecosystem around Kave.
• Help strengthen Kave's reputation within the global design community.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience

• Significant experience in senior Design Director, Creative Director or similar leadership roles.
• Strong background in product design, furniture, interiors, lighting, home or design-led consumer brands.
• Proven experience developing products, collections and design languages.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Strong understanding of product development, materials and manufacturing realities.
• Track record of collaborating closely with brand and marketing functions.

Skills

Creative Vision, Product Sensibility, Brand Thinking, Leadership, Collaboration and Cultural Curiosity

Why Join Kave:

• This role goes far beyond leading a design team.
• It is an opportunity to influence the future identity of a global design brand.
• You will help define the products we create, the stories we tell and the creative standards we set for the next decade.
• You will work at the intersection of design, product, culture and brand.
• And you will play a central role in building a company that aspires to become one of Europe's most admired home design brands.
• If you believe that great brands are built through great products, and that great products deserve great storytelling, we'd love to meet you.
