• Diagnosticar el perfil personal del usuario, así como la situación socio-familiar.
• Servir de puente entre la familia y el usuario, en coordinación con los Servicios Sociales.
• Definir, la situación concreta en la que se encuentran éstos, para llegar a establecer posibles alternativas de actuación partiendo de la realidad.
• Realizar una evaluación del usuario sobre orientación vocacional: identificar intereses laborales, expectativas vocacionales y motivación, nivel de conocimiento y relación con el mercado laboral.
• Facilitar información a los jóvenes sobre su propio perfil (capacidades, personalidad, intereses, valores, etc.) y los distintos itinerarios formativos y ocupacionales que tienen a su alcance, y capacitarle en la toma de decisiones para que siga el mismo plan de acción que se le ha enseñado en el proceso de orientación.
• Elaborar, junto con cada joven, propuestas individuales de trabajo a través del Plan de Inserción Sociolaboral Individualizado (IPI).
• Formar a los jóvenes en el uso de herramientas y técnicas de búsqueda activa de empleo y búsqueda de formación profesional para el empleo.
• Insertar a las personas jovenes dentro de los recursos de formación y empleo del entorno local, provincial, autonómico y estatal.
• Llevar a cabo, junto al resto de profesionales del recurso, la tramitación y la gestión de toda la documentación de los y las jóvenes relacionada con la empleabilidad. Además, establecer contactos con empresas y asociaciones de la zona con la intención de establecer convenios de colaboración a corto o medio plazo que proporcionen algún tipo de contratación.
• Fomentar la participación de los jóvenes en las distintas organizaciones del entorno, a través de voluntariados, para primeras tomas de contacto con el mundo laboral y dándoles la oportunidad de adquirir habilidades en el desempeño de sus funciones.
• Promover campañas divulgativas y de sensibilización sobre la necesidad acuciante de incorporar laboralmente a los/las jóvenes institucionalizados/as para que no caigan en vías de exclusión social.
• Elaborar, junto con el resto del personal educativo y técnico, herramientas que permitan a los y las jóvenes la adquisición de habilidades para su emancipación.
• Ejercer la acción tutorial sobre los jóvenes.
• Realizar el seguimiento educativo formativo- escolar y/o del proceso de inserción laboral del jóven.
• Cumplir y facilitar el cumplimiento de las normas de convivencia, cuantas vengan atribuidas legal o en reglamentariamente
