About The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented linguist to support AI training initiatives and linguistic content creation. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background in linguistics (syntax, semantics, pragmatics, morphology, phonology, sociolinguistics, etc.) and a passion for language, technology, and clear communication. You will play a crucial role in shaping the capabilities of large language models (LLMs) and NLP-based systems through high-quality linguistic data curation, annotation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
Create or edit linguistically- rich content including grammar guides, syntactic analyses, usage explanations, or examples for NLP pipelines.
Identify and resolve issues related to ambiguity, bias, and grammaticality.
Perform quality assurance (QA) on model outputs for fluency, tone, factual accuracy, and language appropriateness.
Annotate linguistic datasets with syntactic, semantic, or pragmatic labels.
Support internal teams by conducting linguistic research and summarizing findings.
Apply linguistic knowledge to evaluate model behavior, error patterns, and generalization issues.
Qualifications

Research Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Arts (Ref. 533927)
The Museum Studies Programme in the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to work on a project titled “Scientific Analysis of Chinese Painting,” in collaboration with the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) and the Laboratory for Conservation and Science at HKU’s University Museum and Art Gallery (LCSD), to commence in January 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, for a period of three years. The appointee will conduct their analytical work in the Laboratory for Conservation and Science at HKU’s University Museum and Art Gallery, as well as at the Conservation Office of the LCSD, on Chinese paintings from the HKMoA collection. This Fellowship aims to support research into the development of material techniques and practices in Chinese painting, including ink, pigments, seals, supports, and mounting methods.
The primary duties of the appointee will include the following:
- Perform scientific research: (a) to characterize materials, structures and components of Chinese paintings; (b) to broaden ways of studying these artworks, and (c) to synthesize scientific findings to address art historical questions and preservation challenges. Use advanced imaging technologies and scientific methods to uncover regional and historical differences in artistic practices and their broader significance for art history and conservation science. Publish scientific research in cultural heritage science and technical art history in excellent scholarly venues.
- Maintain working relationships with curators and conservators at HKMoA/LCSD, as well as with HKU’s faculty and technical staff, to foster collaborative research projects and publications focused on cultural heritage science. This may include overseeing efforts to engage selected students with the field of conservation.
- Work with the Principal Investigator of the Laboratory for Conservation and Science and the Head of Conservation at LCSD to foster understanding and assimilation of results and approaches of scientific research in the arts among curators, conservators, university professors and their students, administrators, other staff, the general public, and other HKU and HKMoA/LCSD stakeholders.
- Teach not less than one and up to two courses per year, and offer one workshop on the analysis of Chinese paintings.
- Travel to attend conferences, present papers, and share research with colleagues in Hong Kong, China, and internationally. The appointee will lead at least one trip during the fellowship with selected students to world-leading museums and/or conservation labs for overseas learning and training purposes.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Dean of Arts or the Director of the Museum Studies Programme or the PI.
A highly competitive package including medical benefits, annual leave, and conference and research support will be offered to the successful applicants. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.

El projecte
La Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (UFEC), Òmnium Cultural i l'Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC) impulsem conjuntament un projecte pioner per enfortir l'ús del català a l'esport a la ciutat de Barcelona. Durant un any, 20 clubs esportius de Sants-Montjuïc participaran en una prova pilot que combina diagnosi, formació, acompanyament i avaluació per incrementar l'ús real del català dins i fora dels entrenaments. L'objectiu és fer de l'esport el primer espai on l'ús del català creixi entre les noves generacions, treballant l'enfortiment de l'ús del català de la mà de la millora del rendiment esportiu, la cohesió i unió d'equip i l'enfortiment dels valors dels clubs.
Què faràs
Combinaràs feina de camp (visites als clubs, formació i suport als entrenadors/es, reunions amb responsables...) i de coordinació (planifi cació, seguiment i avaluació), per ajudar clubs esportius de Sants Montjuïc a enfortir el seu ús del català, sobretot als entrenaments.
- Fer una diagnosi perquè el club conegui el seu punt de partida en l'ús del català.
- Ajudar els clubs a defi nir objectius de millora.
- Formar entrenadors/es per augmentar l'ús del català als entrenaments, reforçant el rendiment esportiu, la cohesió d'equip i el seu rol de lideratge com a referents.
- Acompanyar, fer seguiment i avaluar els progressos amb els clubs esportius, donant suport directe a entrenadors/es, coordinadors/es i directives.
- Realitzar observacions dels entrenaments i elaborar informes crítics sobre el progrés i l'impacte del projecte, en coordinació amb l'equip d'observadors de l'IEC.
- Participar en reunions de coordinació i formació interna amb l'equip del projecte.
- Experiència o coneixement del món esportiu (especialment entrenadors/es d'esports d'equip, coordinadors/es esportius/ves, membres de directives, formació...)
- Compromís amb l'ús del català, amb els valors esportius i la cohesió social.
- Capacitat per treballar amb persones, generar confi ança i dinamitzar grups.
- Bon nivell de català oral i escrit.
- Valorable: experiència en formació o dinamització de grups, sociolingüística, sociologia, projectes comunitaris o similars.
