As a Graduate Cloud Operations Engineer, you’ll join a structured 2-year development programme designed to build versatile cloud professionals who understand our operational ecosystem. As Key Account Manager for online pure players and omnichannel retailers, you will own the relationship and performance of national e-commerce accounts and other Brick and click national accounts (e.g., Amazon) and the online businesses of major retailers in Spain. The Opportunity
Reporting to the European Business Development & Commercial Director, you will help accelerate Assurant's automotive growth across target European markets including Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. You will work with local teams to identify, secure, and launch strategic partnerships that expand Assurant's footprint across Continental Europe.
You will bring deep automotive expertise, a structured approach to market development, and the ability to coordinate cross‑territory growth plans. You will be a bridge between local market opportunities and Assurant's broader European Auto strategy, ensuring understanding, consistency, and disciplined execution.
Given the multi‑market nature of the role, proficiency in English is essential plus fluency in the local language to build relationships with local OEMs, dealer groups, and industry partners.
You Will
- Support the development and lead implementation of Assurant's automotive growth strategy across Continental Europe.
- Coordinate cross‑territory growth plans, ensuring understanding of Auto strategy and broader European goals.
- Lead the full sales cycle for Continental Europe: prospecting, solution shaping, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and launch.
- Develop a high‑quality pipeline across target markets, using Salesforce to guide transparency and discipline.
- Develop tailored win strategies for each market, reflecting local dynamics
- Work with UK and European teams — Product, Underwriting, IT, Operations, Compliance — to shape market‑appropriate solutions.
- Partner with Marketing to create multilingual, data‑led campaigns that resonate with local audiences.
- Support seamless handover to Account Management teams and ensure delivery of client commitments.
- Represent Assurant at main European automotive events, building a network across OEMs, dealer groups, and industry associations.
- Monitor and interpret market trends, regulatory changes, and shifts across Continental Europe.
- Provide insight‑led recommendations to influence product development, commercial strategy, and investment decisions.
- Deep experience in the automotive sector, with direct exposure to Continental European markets (OEM, dealer group, or major supplier).
- Experience with automotive trends, market dynamics, customer behaviour, and distribution models across Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and wider Europe.
- Working knowledge of insurance, financial services, or warranty models, including relevant European sales processes and regulations.
- Analyse market data and translate insights into commercial strategies, product opportunities, and growth plans.
- Experience driving commercial growth and securing new business in multi‑market environments.
- Full sales‑cycle ownership: prospecting, solution design, proposals, negotiation, contracting, and launch.
- Experience with structuring and implementing win‑win partnerships with commercial and P&L understanding.
- Build and manage a disciplined pipeline, using Salesforce or equivalent platforms.
- Coordinate cross‑market plans and ensuring understanding of European Auto strategy.
- Stakeholder manager across Product, Underwriting, IT, Operations, and Compliance in a matrix environment.
- Fluent in English, with additional European languages is an advantage
- Navigate cultural nuances and build trusted senior relationships across European markets.
