Product Owner - Data Platforms
Boehringer Ingelheim · Sant Cugat del Vallès, ES
. Agile Scrum AWS
At Boehringer Ingelheim, we believe data is the foundation of innovation in healthcare. As a Product Owner in our global data platforms team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the products that power our data-driven future. You’ll own the strategic vision of our proprietary platforms built on cutting-edge technologies like AWS and Snowflake, and drive their evolution to unlock insights, accelerate decision-making, and deliver tangible business value.
This is a key role where product thinking meets technical depth. You’ll define roadmaps, steer agile delivery, and collaborate closely with users, stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure our platforms are intuitive, scalable, and impactful. If you’re passionate about building products that matter—and thrive at the intersection of strategy, technology, and user experience—we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for a seasoned Product Owner with a strong technical background and strategic mindset to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of our data platform products.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Own the product vision and strategy: Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with business goals and user needs
- Drive the product roadmap: Prioritize features and capabilities across sprints and releases, balancing technical feasibility, business impact, and user feedback
- Lead Agile delivery: Manage the product backlog, define sprint goals, and ensure timely delivery of high-value increments
- Engage with stakeholders: Collaborate closely with business users, data scientists, and domain experts to gather requirements and validate solutions
- Partner with technical leads: Align on architecture, abstraction layers, and implementation strategies to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions
- Champion user-centric design: Ensure products deliver intuitive, impactful experiences by incorporating feedback loops and usability testing
- Ensure transparency and alignment: Communicate priorities, progress, and decisions across teams and leadership
- Measure success: Define and track KPIs to evaluate product performance and inform future iterations
- Foster continuous improvement: Promote agile best practices, retrospectives, and experimentation to evolve both product and process
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in software or data platform environments
- Strong technical background, ideally with hands-on experience in cloud-native architectures, AWS services, and Snowflake
- Familiarity with data abstraction layers and platform-as-a-product principles
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar) and product lifecycle management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, and business stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and user stories
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action and a passion for delivering impactful solutions
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in fast-paced environments
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
We are continuously working to design the best experience for you. Here are some examples of how we will take care of you:
- Flexible working conditions
- Life and accident insurance
- Health insurance at a competitive price
- Investment in your learning and development
- Gym membership discounts
