We know you've seen many job descriptions. This one might look like the others, but what we’re building, and the role you could play in it, is something we are very excited about.

We are Bihar Batteries, a new-generation battery startup based in San Sebastian. We are building sodium-ion storage systems, a critical technology that gives people, businesses, and communities control over their energy.

Unlike lithium-ion, our sodium-ion technology is made with locally abundant raw materials like salt. This means no critical supply chains, and a hopeful path towards energy independence in Europe.

This technology is at the heart of our product: a modular battery system that can power everything from off-grid mountain refuges to industrial companies and regions.

Here are some highlights of what we’ve achieved so far:

• We have developed a working sodium battery prototype and proprietary sodium cells.
• We have partnered with leading industrial companies and research centers to scale up, such as CIC energiGUNE and Battera.
• We are backed by early stage private investors, and have received two public grants to support our operations.

We believe batteries should not only be reliable, but also well-designed, easy to use, and attractive. This is why we are building a team that can turn these pieces into a product that people will be proud to use.

🙋 What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Product Engineer to develop our battery system towards commercialization. We want you to be part of the entire design process, to interact with the partners who will manufacture it, and to learn from the clients that will use it.

As one of our first employees, we are looking for a curious and proactive ‘builder’ that is motivated with the challenge of joining an early stage company like Bihar.

We want you to feel that Bihar’s product is your product, and to be part of the company’s growth from a small group of individuals to an organization with international ambition.

🎯 What we Need

• Degree on industrial design, mechanical engineer or similar + sensibility for good design.
• A “builder” mindset: you like sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, testing, and iterating.
• Strong CAD skills (Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, assembly) and certification.
• Ability to work with electrical and electronic components.
• Enjoying working in a startup: hands-on, proactive, flexible.
• Ability to work fluently in Spanish and English.
• Based in San Sebastian or willingness to spend significant time in the city (hybrid position).

• Designing our battery system, including internal architecture and enclosures.
• 3D modeling, prototyping and testing the product.
• Challenging existing products in the market to create exciting new product features.
• Interacting with clients to inform the product development and ensure good user experience.
• Managing relationship with suppliers and product manufacturers.
• Assisting with product management and certification.
• Hiring and mentoring new teammates as we grow.
• Collaborating with partners to ensure products are functional, robust, and visually compelling.

Funciones:
Entre las funciones se incluyen,
-Gestionar la cartera actual de puntos de venta, asegurando un servicio de calidad y una relación sólida con los clientes.
Abrir nuevos puntos de venta y establecer colaboraciones estratégicas para expandir el alcance comercial.
Vender productos y servicios, además de gestionar incidencias de manera proactiva y eficiente.
Presentar productos, novedades y acciones comerciales a los clientes con entusiasmo y profesionalismo.
Realizar el seguimiento de clientes y prospecciones para identificar nuevas oportunidades de negocio.
Colocar publicidad y materiales informativos en los puntos de venta, además de actualizar el PLV no vigente.
Reportar diariamente las ventas y visitas realizadas, asegurando una comunicación fluida con el equipo.
Impulsar la presencia de la marca en el mercado, generando confianza y fidelidad entre los clientes y colaboradores.
Identificar tendencias del mercado y proponer estrategias innovadoras para optimizar los resultados.

Requisitos
Para ser considerado/a, se requiere,
Contar con Bachillerato o Formación Profesional.
Disponer de carnet de conducir y experiencia previa en ventas, atención al cliente y B2B.
Tener un conocimiento fluido del español, valorándose positivamente el dominio de otros idiomas.
Ser una persona organizada, proactiva y orientada a resultados, con habilidades para resolver problemas de manera eficaz.
Poseer experiencia en telecomunicaciones, especialmente en el canal prepago, será un plus.
Contar con el permiso B de conducción, ya que el trabajo se desarrolla de manera presencial.
Tener la capacidad de adaptarse a un entorno dinámico y trabajar en equipo de manera colaborativa.
