Who You Are
We’re looking to add a thoughtful and strategic Development Manager to facilitate communication and support one of our Engineering teams in achieving a high level of excellence and player engagement on our high-priority AAA project. You will work with a team of talented Designers, Artists, Engineers, Producers and cross-discipline Leads to balance scope with capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, mentor people, and mitigate risks while upholding and maintaining a high quality bar.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a distributed team of Designers, Artists, Engineers, Producers, cross-discipline Leads and dev partners to drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, and work with dependencies across global studio locations
- Organize the direction, priority, and strategy for complex projects/teams while ensuring alignment with internal and external leadership
- Organize and coordinate deployments and facilitation of software playtests and reviews
- Be deeply involved in features development and resource planning
- Build healthy, collaborative relationships with external teams or vendors while fostering an inclusive environment
- Facilitate alignment through effective communication, problem-solving, risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Maintain understanding of game release schedules and forecast project milestones
- Manage and develop your specific Engineering team with thoughtful feedback, mentorship and career pathing.
- Proficient project management fundamentals including capacity planning, scope assessment and management, and project milestone planning
- Solid grasp of project management software (e.g. JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Hansoft, etc.)
- Proven experience managing projects for both short and long iterations; being able to scope varied sizes and length of a project
- Possess excellent people leadership skills and consistent record of effective management of senior resources
- Leverage experience building cohesive teams; identify resourcing needs, providing developmental opportunities and ensuring that all employees reach their potential
- You have an abiding love of video games, playing them, talking about them, creating them!

Serás responsable de liderar la estrategia y operación IT del grupo, garantizando el correcto funcionamiento de las plataformas tecnológicas y su evolución continua.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?
El/la candidato/a seleccionado deberá cumplir los siguientes requisitos:
Imprescindible:
- Experiencia previa como Head of IT o IT Manager, CTO en cliente final o empresa de producto.
- Background técnico sólido en desarrollo fullstack (Angular + Spring).
- Dominio de entornos AWS y servicios cloud.
- Capacidad de "entrar al barro": revisar código y entender la arquitectura cuando sea necesario (aunque no será tu labor principal).
- Experiencia gestionando equipos multidisciplinares y colaborando con negocio.
- Conocimiento transversal de infraestructura, seguridad, redes y soporte.
- Excelentes habilidades comunicativas y orientación a resultados.
Deseable:
- Interés en tecnologías emergentes e innovación (IA, automatización...).

We are hiring a Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team that delivers the essential components of Ubuntu - our system startup, compilers, language runtimes and toolchains, as well as networking and storage config and management. This is a fast-paced, problem-solving, highly technical role operating at the core of Linux server systems.
As an Engineering Manager on the Foundations team, you will be at the heart of driving Ubuntu. Working at the unique intersection of the open source ecosystem, and enterprise technologists.
In this pivotal position, you'll lead and inspire your team of engineers, to take Ubuntu to new heights. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of Linux and Ubuntu with a passion for exceptional leadership. You will be expected to lead, challenge, and develop strong engineers, positively influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery and drive your team on strategy and execution.

The role entails
- Lead and grow a team of distributed engineers
- Demonstrate sound engineering principles through active and hands on leadership
- Be responsible for planning, estimation and execution

- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams
- Drive the advancement and adoption of the latest software development practices

- Work from home while meeting in person for company sprints. Sprints are typically twice a year for 1-2 weeks.
- You have worked extensively with Linux distributions, and are experienced with packaging technologies (e.g. deb, rpm, other)
- You have demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of software engineers
- High quality software engineering knowledge in one or more of: Linux system architecture, boot process, Java/GCC/Python/Rust/Go toolchains, ARM and/or RISC-V
- Engagement with open source communities and processes

- Elaborar documentación técnica clara y detallada.Diseñar e implementar la estrategia de migración de arquitectura monolítica a microservicios
- Guiar al equipo técnico en definición, desarrollo y despliegue de APIs y servicios independientes
- Utilizar tecnologías como PHP (Laravel ideal) o bien Java si aplica
- Asegurar la integración continua, las pruebas automatizadas y la observabilidad en el pipeline DevOps

- Conocimiento sólido de metodologías CI/CD, testing, contenedores y orquestación
- Habilidades técnicas y de liderazgo: mentoring, escalado de equipos y alineación con producto
