Our client is a technology-oriented company developing advanced engineering solutions for the aerospace and aviation industries, focused on high-performance mechanical systems, precision-engineered assemblies, and mission-critical technologies used in demanding airborne, spaceborne, and defense-related applications.
The organization operates across the full product lifecycle, from concept development and engineering design through prototyping, qualification, validation, and industrialization, within highly regulated aerospace environments where reliability, performance, and compliance are critical success factors.
Its activities rely on close collaboration between multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanics, electronics, manufacturing, systems engineering, and other technical disciplines, with a strong emphasis on innovation, precision engineering, environmental qualification, and operational excellence. The company offers professionals the opportunity to contribute to advanced aerospace programs while working in a collaborative and technology-driven engineering environment.
Mission
The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, development, integration, and qualification of mechanical systems and assemblies for aerospace and aviation applications. The role involves supporting the full development cycle from concept generation and CAD design through prototyping, testing, qualification, manufacturing documentation, and system integration, ensuring mechanical robustness, reliability, and compliance with aerospace requirements while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Mechanical Design and Development
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace and aviation applications, ensuring structural integrity, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings suitable for aerospace manufacturing and qualification processes.
- Contribute to the architecture and development of complex mechanical systems, considering tolerances, materials, weight optimization, thermal loads, and environmental constraints.
Prototyping, Integration and Qualification
- Support the fabrication, assembly, integration, and validation of mechanical prototypes and subsystems.
- Participate in testing campaigns including functional, structural, vibration, and environmental qualification activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs based on qualification results and system-level performance requirements.
Technical Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation including Bills of Materials, technical procedures, and qualification records.
- Generate detailed assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and configuration documentation supporting aerospace standards and traceability requirements.
- Ensure documentation supports both production activities and compliance with aerospace quality and certification processes.
Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration
- Participate in technical reviews and aerospace project development activities.
- Work closely with electronics, manufacturing, systems, and other engineering teams to ensure successful product integration.
- Contribute to solving complex technical challenges within multidisciplinary aerospace programs.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory professional experience within the aerospace and/or aviation industry.
- Demonstrable experience with CAD design tools, preferably SolidWorks.
- Experience in mechanical design, precision engineering, aerospace structures, or complex industrial systems.
- Ability to generate technical drawings, BoMs, and structured engineering documentation.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the integration of high-precision mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with aerospace qualification standards, environmental testing, and verification processes.
- Exposure to simulation tools such as FEA, structural analysis, thermal analysis, or CFD software.
- Experience working on aerospace, aviation, defense, satellite, or other high-reliability technology programs.
- Knowledge of vibration, shock, thermal, and environmental requirements applicable to aerospace systems.
- Exposure to optical or optomechanical systems would be considered a valuable asset.
