Project Description and responsibilities:

By supporting the plan, design and construction of manufacturing facilities and related structures, determining facility specifications, material resources, structural design and construction set ups, the project engineer contributes actively to the manufacturing expansion projects that will deploy the capacity for RBM business unit growth and ultimately, for the growth of the company. The project engineer is a key role in expansion projects to provide more capacity to our three main types of production steps, Leaching and Refining, precursor and cathode active materials, and it is expected a great contribution for the resolution of technical problems and suggestions for installation improvements to meet process requirements

Integrating the project team, the project engineer is responsible to coordinate the design and construction of its area of responsibility & expertise and to liaise with project management, EPCm companies and contractors to successfully implement new assets and facilities until commissioning and/or handover.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities:

• Prepare, revise and approve technical documentation for the design phases of projects, guaranteeing that standards, guidelines, best available, safe and cost-effective solutions are considered
• Ensure that project documents are complete and optimal for a competitive and fair tender process
• Support the procurement phase of specific components and works, screening from bids to good reception confirmation in support of the project management
• Control costs during execution of projects
• Supervise the construction, installation and commissioning of assigned projects, within its area of responsibility
• Work with other Engineering teams, integrating the work with other specialties into the final project solution, assuring user deadlines are met and without unexpected delays in production
• Execute all assigned tasks, planning and delivering on time, safely, efficiently, reliably and in a cost-effective manner
• Make quality and timely decisions within the Engineering tasks under his/her responsibility
• Gather relevant data to inform the decision makers regarding complex issues
• Propose improvements (procedures, organizational, new technologies, capex, productivity) as appropriate
• Capture user feedback and lessons learned for future projects
• Collaborates in internal and external audits
• Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice
• Manage vendors & contractors onsite, analyze the potential risk and recommend actions to mitigate the problems from construction (EHS, manpower, logistics …)
• Perform or support commissioning of the equipment before handing over to the Process team, support process team during the internal qualification
• Perform engineering and technical support to the projects when needed, undertaking any additional tasks commensurate with the role as and when required

Technical Profile requirements:

• University degree, or equivalent qualification, in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation
• Technical experience and/or background in the execution of engineering projects (of specialties above mentioned)
• Extensive experience in big industrial projects of +100MLN Eur is mandatory (brownfield, greenfield,...)
• Relevant experience and understanding in the execution of industrial projects in operational environments
• Knowledge of design software (e.g. AutoCad)
• Knowledge of EHS standards, industry good practices and legal requirements applicable to the specialty of focus
• Competent and fluent (written and verbal) in Spanish and English
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package
• Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down

Key parameters

• Participating in projects of an average, but not limited to, 50 to 100m€
• Working at sites reporting to RBM business unit and integrating teams up to 20 engineers
• May supervise up to 5 technicians and less experience engineers
• May work abroad for certain periods of time, in other sites or at vendor facilities

Actualmente nos encontramos en búsqueda de un/a Ingeniero/a de Proyectos Senior, quien se incorporará a la División de Ingeniería en nuestras oficinas de Valencia. Si te incorporas al equipo, tendrás como objetivo dirigir los encargos de los que serás responsable, de acuerdo con la metodología definida y las características del cliente, con el fin de garantizar el correcto desarrollo del mismo en términos de coste, calidad y plazo, así como la satisfacción, integración y óptimo desempeño del equipo de encargo.

Entre otras funciones realizarás:

• Participación en encargos en el ámbito del sector industrial, logístico y alimentario, de acuerdo con la metodología definida y las características del cliente, con el fin de garantizar el correcto desarrollo del mismo en términos de coste, calidad y plazo, así como la satisfacción, integración y óptimo desempeño del equipo de encargo.


• Siendo el nexo entre interproveedores, activos de oficinas y administraciones, gestionarás el cliente teniendo una visión global del proyecto.


• Aplicarás tus conocimiento de procesos industriales (industria alimentaria, sector industrial, cosmético, farmacéutico…)


• Realizarás cálculo en ámbito de la edificación industrial (cimentaciones, estructuras metálicas, estructuras de hormigón, muros…) y en el ámbito de las instalaciones industriales.

¿Qué REQUISITOS valoraremos o tendrá que cumplir el candidato/a?

• Contar con Ingeniería Industrial, Agrónoma, Arquitectura Técnica, o similares.


• Estar colegiado/a (o dispuesto/a a colegiarse), y tener capacidad de firma.


• Contar con al menos 4 años de experiencia en las funciones descritas, con experiencia en proyectos industriales del sector alimentario, industrial, logístico, cosmético, farmacéutico...


• Disponibilidad para desplazamientos puntuales (ida y vuelta en el mismo día) a la ubicación de los encargos.


• Conocimientos demostrables de obra civil en el ámbito de la edificación industrial e instalaciones industriales (cimentaciones, estructuras metálicas, estructuras de hormigón, muros, urbanización, cálculo de instalaciones eléctricas, mecánicas, PCI, etc.)


• Dominio de programas y herramientas de cálculo.


• Conocimientos en entorno BIM (Revit, TEKLA Navisworks…)


• Carnet de conducir tipo B y vehículo propio.
