The team and the role
We are now looking to expand our Madrid-based international cross-border M&A team.
The international M&A team consists of a small group of English qualified M&A lawyers with significant London experience at magic circle or other leading UK / US firms, as well as rolling secondees from our London “Best Friend”, leading UK firm Slaughter and May. The team sits within the firm’s wider Corporate / M&A practice area (ranked Band 1 by Chambers Global) and works on a fully integrated basis with Uría Menéndez Spanish and Portuguese M&A teams, our affiliated firm PPU in Latin America and the “Best Friends” network on a wide variety of cross-border corporate / M&A transactions.
We are seeking to recruit a junior to mid-level (0 - 5 PQE) corporate / M&A associate to join this international M&A team in Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office. The core focus of the work will be cross-border M&A, private equity, joint ventures and other corporate transactions, which will all have an international element.
About You
You will:
- be an English qualified solicitor currently working in the Corporate / M&A practice area of an international or City firm;
- have excellent written and communications skills, and strong technical and commercial abilities;
- be looking for a move to Spain, with the intention to establish yourself here on a medium to long-term basis;
- be keen to join a leading international firm with a collegiate atmosphere and work on market-leading cross-border transactions;
- be a team player who is also able to work independently where required, and able to take on a high degree of responsibility and manage a challenging workload; and
- be intellectually curious with cultural sensitivity.

- Learn to ensure a smooth and efficient experience delivered to all guests at registration, during their stay and at check out.
- Accurately and efficiently receive and process guest reservations whilst observing policy and procedures for the hotel operation.

We are seeking a Hepatologist to join our team in London. The Medical Director will have overall responsibility for providing medical, scientific, and strategic leadership for the successful planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials.
