We are based in Santiago de Compostela, this is a hybrid role with some jobs requiring office attendance.
As an Administrative Assistant in the FABRX team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- General office management, maintenance and bookkeeping
- Communication with accountants in UK, Spain and US
- Organise and manage internal purchases, including communication with providers and associated paperwork. Companies in the UK, Spain and US
- Organise and manage shipments of client purchases
- Organise and manage grant paperwork, including expenses, justifications and reports.
- General documentation (customs, agreements for internships, tenders, etc.)
- Additional filler roles when required
- Regular cash flow recording and reporting
Qualities/Skills
- Relevant experience in a similar role or degree level qualification in a relevant subject
- A high level of spoken and written Spanish and English
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel etc.)
- An organised and flexible individual with a high attention to detail.
- Passionate in learning new skills and innovation.

Offer DescriptionThe University of A Coruña (UDC), in its commitment to academic and research excellence, recognises the need to strengthen its capacities in data management and analysis.
To this end, it is necessary to increase the resources of the Data Analysis and Management Unit (AXD), with the aim of improving efficiency in the collection, processing and visualisation of institutional information in R&D&I areas.
The incorporation of a support profile for the AXD will improve the capacity for data analysis in projects, optimise the management and exploitation of institutional indicators, increase the quality and efficiency of data-based decision-making, visualise data through interactive panels and automate the collection of data from both open and external sources, and facilitate the preparation of technical reports that support the R&D&I strategy of the UDC.
The Tasks To Be Performed Include
- Support in the development and maintenance of extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes for data integration from various sources and university information systems.
- Support in the implementation and maintenance of automation methods for data ingestion ensuring data quality, integrity and availability.
- Assistance in the collection, review and analysis of University indicators, participating in the identification of key data to facilitate strategic decision-making and the exploitation of results.
- Collaboration in the comparative study of the UDC at national and international level on the basis of research and transfer performance indicators.
- Collaboration in the management and consultation of structured and unstructured databases, implementation of data storage systems in SQL environments and development of advanced queries for the extraction of relevant information.
- Development of interactive, dynamic, automatic reports and data visualisation panels.
- Securing communications and equipment for the deployment of dynamic visualisation panels (dashboards).
The dashboard should be dynamically updated, i.e.
data changes automatically according to new entries, user filters or specific conditions.
Different views (educational centre, research centre, general, etc.)
will be required.
- Support in the optimisation of workflows and communication for the efficient management of information gathering processes.
