We are looking for a talented, pragmatic, and self driven H&S professional who wants to play an active role in continued growth and ambition to zero injuries across all our facilities both in Europe and The Americas.

This unique opportunity as H&S Divisional Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved in the further design and execution of our health, safety and wellbeing strategy across a very international division such as Bag-in-Box.


This critical role will give you broad networking, familiarity with systems, elements of project management, the opportunity to demonstrate diverse capabilities and have the potential to progress in to future roles within the safety function or the wider business.


In this role you will report to the HR Director for the Bag in Box Division.



Key areas where you will be adding value:

  • Act as the Ambassador for all H&S programmes and values across the Division.
  • Support the HR Director and the Management Team in the design and execution of our divisional health, safety and wellbeing strategy with the aim of ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Guarantee suitable management of all phases of Divisional H&S projects, with consistent follow-up of the objectives and expected results, of the technical and regulatory aspects of health and safety in the workplace and of the company procedures and rules in agreement with the HR Director and Management Teams.
  • Actively support our local H&S communities by providing appropriate training and support on various topics such as effective implementation of policies, development of safety improvement plans, risk assessments and ad-hoc initiatives.
  • Management and analysis of all recordable injuries and safety matrix.
  • Lead periodic cross-audits at the plants.
  • Lead H&S System Integration across the Division while stimulating further usage of technology to better analyze data.
  • Collaborate in the definition and implementation of training and development plans relating to the health, safety and wellbeing areas.



Key competencies and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in engineering, Safety Health and Environment, or similar. Previous experiences in HSE management, consultancy or auditing within multinational environments is required.
  • Operational credibility and capability to coach, challenge and support local HSE Supervisors and Plant Management.
  • Ability to influence people in a decentralised and multi-cultural organisation.
  • Strong sense of ownership with a hands-on mentality.
  • Ability to autonomously manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Enjoy finding creative a sustainable solution to challenges / issues.
  • English language proficiency is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.



Additional information:

Location is flexible and will need to be discussed (Epernay FR, Alessandria IT, Ibi ES, Amsterdam NL). Extensive travel is required both in Europe and The Americas.
