As a Junior Activation & Upsell Specialist (Junior Early Growth Specialist), you are the critical link between a new merchant signing up and becoming a thriving member of the SumUp ecosystem. This is a dynamic role where you will act as a partner to small business owners, ensuring they have the right tools—from card readers to our Business Account—to succeed from day one.
You will sit at the intersection of Onboarding, Activation, and Sales, focusing on driving product adoption and identifying growth opportunities within our newly acquired merchant base. This role is designed for a high-energy individual who is motivated by targets and eager to launch a career in Fintech.
What you’ll do:
- Drive Merchant Activation: Proactively reach out to new merchants to guide them through their first transactions and ensure a seamless start with the SumUp platform.
- Consultative Upselling: Analyze merchant profiles to recommend and sell additional SumUp products (such as the Business Account, Invoicing, or advanced hardware) that fit their specific business needs.
- Outbound Engagement: Execute high-volume outbound calling campaigns to activate accounts and re-engage merchants who haven't yet realized the full potential of our ecosystem.
- Hit Growth Targets: Consistently meet and exceed monthly activation and upsell KPIs, directly impacting company revenue and your own commission-based earnings.
- Feedback Loop: Act as the "voice of the customer," sharing insights from your direct merchant interactions with the Product and Marketing teams to improve the user journey.
- Previous experience in onboarding, customer support, SDR or roles with strong outbound exposure
- Comfort with high-volume outbound calls
- Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs.

We are looking for a detail-oriented BI / Analytics Specialist to turn our vast data streams into actionable intelligence. As the architect of our reporting ecosystem, you will ensure that every department has the insights they need to make winning decisions. Your Mission: Your mission is to provide a "single source of truth" for the company. You will take full ownership of our reporting tools (Looker/Tableau), maintain our CRM dashboards, and play a critical role in protecting our ecosystem through advanced fraud analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting Excellence: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated dashboards in Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- CRM Ownership: Take the lead on CRM dashboard maintenance, ensuring data integrity and usability for the Sales and Growth teams.
- Fraud Analysis: Develop and implement models to detect and mitigate fraudulent activity within our traffic and user base.
- Data Consultation: Act as an internal consultant, helping teams translate business questions into data queries.
- Process Automation: Streamline data collection and reporting processes to increase company-wide efficiency.
- 3-5+ experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role.
- Expertise in BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI) and advanced SQL.

- Strong understanding of CRM structures and data hygiene.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
