Job Description:
An opportunity for an AIT Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
MISSION
The AIT Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of the Assembly, Integration and Test activities definition, preparation and execution of the Instrument, Payload and Satellite Programs in the frame of the Spacecraft Production Spain organization with the support of its different Spacecraft Production and Supporting Functions areas. The AIT Manager has a technical, development and programmatic interface with the Engineering and Program lines.
Responsibilities
- Management of the Instrument, Payload and Satellite AIT activities to ensure the On Quality, On Time, On Cost deliveries according to commitments.
- Support the co-engineering process during preliminary and detailed design phases for the Development Plan, Model Philosophy, Design to AIT and Verification Process definition.
- Definition and maintenance of the Instrument / Payload or Satellite AIT Plan.
- Interface with Engineering to manage the AIT contribution to the Test Specification development.
- Coordinate and manage the AIT Mechanical, Electrical, Functional and RF engineering and execution activities definition, optimization and implementation.
- Coordinate and manage the GSE architecture definition, specification and development follow-up.
- Coordinate and manage the Test Facilities requirements specification and technical interface follow-up and support the procurement process.
- AIT activities coordination, planning and cost control.
- Interface with the Programme for changes management.
- AIT resources plan definition and maintenance.
- Support Logistics and mange Critical Transports.
- Instrument / Payload or Satellites Environmental Test Campaign coordination and management.
- Satellite Launch Campaign coordination and management.
- Participation in formal reviews with the Costumer.
- Monitoring and reporting the execution of the AIT plan.
- Education: Engineering degree.
- Experience: Demostrated experience in Instrument, Payload or Satellite production. Experience in cost (including deviations management), planning, and resources management/change management as well.
- Technical knowledge: Instrument, Payload or Satellites AIT activities and processes. Quality standards.
- Soft skills : dealing with the Customer and Customer satisfaction mindset, leadership skills, team management experience, and capability to work in close cooperation with other teams, analysis and decision-making capabilities in multidisciplinary and complex context, quality-oriented, improvement and innovative mind-set, team spirit and good communication skills.
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Working conditions:
- Flexible working time in normal shift but occasionally early/late/night shifts may be required.
- It may be required to work during weekend in very specific situations.
- Time flexibility is required.
- Flexibility to work abroad during specific AIT phases.

📈 Estrategia y proyectos. Apoyar en tareas de consultoría y colaborar en la planificación de acciones y materiales.
💼 Marketing operativo y branding. Crear y adaptar materiales físicos (cartelería, menús, señalética, vinilos, pantallas digitales), bajo supervisión del Content Manager. Coordinar entregas con proveedores externos (imprentas, rotulación, diseño, etc.) y revisar materiales en los establecimientos para asegurar consistencia visual.
🎨 Producción y soporte creativo. Apoyo en diseño gráfico y adaptación de materiales existentes. Uso de herramientas de diseño (Adobe, Canva) y ofimática (PowerPoint, Excel). Colaboración en presentaciones, propuestas y catálogos junto al equipo creativo y comercial.
💰 Apoyo en gestión presupuestaria. Colaborar en la preparación y seguimiento de presupuestos de marketing. Apoyar en el contacto con proveedores para la optimización de costes.
