Position:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Researcher for R&D department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, performing and analysing scientific experiments aimed at developing new pharmaceutical and chemical products and improving existing formulations. This role will contribute directly to the company's innovation, quality and competitiveness. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that developments meet regulatory, safety and efficacy requirements throughout the entire process, from research through to production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and execute scientific experiments for the development of new compounds, formulations or processes, according to the project objectives.
  • Perform chemical reactions at laboratory scale.
  • Scales up synthesis methods progressively, from milligrams to grams or kilograms.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data.
  • Develop and optimize methods of synthesis, formulation or analysis.
  • Rigorous documentation of results complying with quality standards (ISO, GMP)
  • Collaboration with other departments (regulatory affairs, production, quality)
  • Help to maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Attending technical meetings and presenting updates on project progress.

Requirements:

To be successful in securing the Research & Development Researcher role, you must demonstrate:

  • Proficiency with scientific software and chemical databases (SciFinder, Chemdraw, MestreNova, etc.).
  • Ability to design and optimize synthetic routes.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proactive learning and adaptability
  • Clear and effective communication skills in Spanish and English, particularly in written
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills

It is also essential you have experience in:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related areas.
  • Research and development in the chemical or pharmaceutical sector, especially in organic synthesis.
  • Research project management, including planning, monitoring and meeting objectives within established timelines and budgets.
  • Use of analytical equipment (GC, HPLC, KF)
