Purpose

Ensure the effective routine care and treatment of crops, contributing to the success of plant breeding programs. Maintain a healthy, safe working environment while adhering to breeding protocols.

Key Accountabilities

  • Care and treatment of crops and trials.
  • Execution of emasculations and crossings according crossing scheme
  • Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
  • Participation in all crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and/or breeding support activities.
  • Daily functional guidance of seasonal workers.
  • Co-responsible for a healthy and safe working environment.

Working Conditions

  • Working in conditioned climate/high temperatures
  • Working outside in different weather conditions
  • Weekend shifts
  • Includes repetitive work
