About The Position

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technical Specialist to support the management and technical development of manufacturing activities across various R&D projects, such as TERASUN. These projects aim to drive innovation across different stages of the photovoltaic value chain, with a particular focus on component manufacturing and the development, optimisation, and scale-up of manufacturing processes.

The selected candidate will contribute to the analysis and improvement of manufacturing processes and methodologies, activity tracking, and the resolution of production-related technical issues. They will collaborate with research, engineering, and project management teams, supporting communication and coordination among the different stakeholders involved.

At IDENER.AI, we believe in talent, curiosity, and the ability to learn. We are therefore looking for people with initiative, motivation, and a desire to develop their potential in an environment focused on innovation and technological development, as well as an interest in taking on new challenges and contributing to the development of technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the development, optimisation, and, where applicable, scale-up of PV manufacturing methodologies and processes.
  • Analyse manufacturing workflows to identify improvements in efficiency, yield, quality, and cost.
  • Support technical tasks related to component manufacturing and assembly within the PV value chain.
  • Collaborate with materials specialists and researchers to translate lab-scale developments into manufacturable processes.
  • Support in technical documentation and reports and contribute to the monitoring of milestones, activities, and timelines.
  • Provide support in identifying and addressing process-related technical issues that may arise during project development.
  • Contribute to coordination and communication among the different partners and teams involved in the projects.
  • Stay at the forefront of global R&D in PV manufacturing and energy technologies, proactively integrating cutting-edge findings into active projects.
  • Actively engage with international partners and stakeholders within the EU framework.

Requisitos mínimos

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Technical background in solar manufacturing workflows and process development or optimisation.
  • Knowledge of the PV manufacturing value chain, including silicon/thin-film processing and cell/module assembly technologies.
  • Familiarity with process scale-up, quality control, or production engineering is a plus.
  • Collaborative spirit for multidisciplinary teams and strong communication skills with technical, academic, and industrial stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in English is essential, as you will be responsible for drafting technical deliverables and engaging in high-level discussions within international consortiums.
