Reporting to the Finance Manager for Spain and Portugal, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

• The role will perform and support all day-to-day and month-end accounting tasks in relation to GL and documentation requirements as assigned, for Spain and Portugal.
• The role acts in close collaboration with the Finance Manager and as a backup for the Finance Manager.
• Assist with the coordination of the monthly closing process and reporting for Spain and Portugal.
• Assist with preparing supporting documentation for quarterly and year-end closing and final Audit.
• Ensures that all journal entries and monthly account reconciliations are performed accurately, completely and within established deadlines.
• Assist the statutory financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and record assets, liability, revenue and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Manages all accounting operations including; AR, AP, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Treasury Management and Intercompany Accounting.
• Tax Filling: Corporate Tax annual report filling.
• Integrity of Accounting records: Ensures the quality, consistency and reliability of the entered financial data to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide ad hoc reporting as requested. Can supervise the team of AP, AR & Payroll.
• Complete assigned document requests for internal/external auditors timely and accurately.
• Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
• The role needs to ensure application of policies, processes and controls to Group Corporate standards.

• University Degree in Business or Finance.
• MBA or Master's in Finance will be a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have minimum 5-7 years working experience, with at least 2-3 years in a similar position (Senior Accountant/ Accounting Supervisor, or similar) in a multinational company, or in the BPO department of a multinational consulting firm.
• Previous experience at a Big 4 will be a plus.
• Sector: Experience in a sales company, Healthcare, FMCG, or similar, will be a plus.
• Experience in an accounting and reporting practice environment.
• US-GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge is a must.
• SOX experience will be a plus.
• Ability to deliver accurate and detailed reports in a timely manner.
• Experience in team management is a plus.
• Very high English level, is a must.
• High Portuguese level is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel / High level in MS Office.
• Experience working with Oracle, is a plus.
• Experience with reporting tools (Power BI or similar) will be an advantage.
