About the job:
For our Corporate division in Azuqueca de Henares at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Paralegal
Reporting to the Legal Counsel Spain & Portugal your mission will be: to provide essential legal and administrative support across multiple legal areas, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. The role assists Legal Counsel in research, document management, contract oversight, and regulatory filings. Through diligent coordination and accurate execution, it safeguards the company’s legal integrity and supports strategic decision‑making
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
- Provide support for a variety of law-related activities and different law fields, ranging from: data protection, compliance, commercial and environmental among others. This mentioned support will include legal research, contract administration, document preparation, risk analysis and trial preparation (mainly documented evidence).
- Support on legal advice requested by any of the Exide facilities and key stakeholders under legal counsel supervision.
- Support and evaluate contract compliance assisting with the advice on any contractual rights, risks and obligations under supervision of the legal counsel.
- Assist with the renewal and request of business licenses and ordinary certificates.
- Attend notary appointments prior review of any documents which may need to be signed.
- Arrange commercial registry documentation submission.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining the document management system.
- Assist with the preparation of recurrent minutes for meetings of the boards of directors.
- Assist with the review and manage local insurance policies, ensuring to provide carefully reviewed documentation to key members of the business structure and assisting on claim management.
- Assist the Group General Counsel with the renewals of worldwide trademarks and related requests.
- Provide support to the Group General Counsel with the monitoring of legal service providers.
What we ask for:
The successful candidate will be an individual capable to operate across a multidisciplinary role and will be a proactive individual at a semi-entry level which has:
- Law degree or legal bachelor degree by any Spanish university.
- Full business proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proactive attitude and excellent attention to detail. Accuracy is a must.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to successfully liaise with people at all levels, whilst working effectively as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn, ability to think differently and be able to recommend and implement process changes for more efficient working.
- 1Y experience working at any recognized law firm or any mid-size company.
- Driving license and vehicle availability.
Optional
- Experience abroad either studying or working will be valued.
- Knowledge of Portuguese, French or any other European language would be a plus.
