We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-level/Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a passion for technology to join our team in Madrid. In this role, you will be part of a team of experienced DBAs responsible for ensuring the stability, performance and security of high-performance databases that support critical applications and real-time data processing.

Responsibilities include managing, optimizing and safeguarding databases to meet the needs of a dynamic, performance-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure the high availability, performance and security of databases
- Optimize database queries and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Implement and maintain database backups and disaster recovery plans
- Monitor database activity and identify potential issues proactively
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with applications
- Perform daily monitoring of database health and performance
- Analyze and optimize database queries to improve response times
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and efficiently
- Document database procedures and configurations
- Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for databases
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices

REQUIREMENTS- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization
- Knowledge of cloud-based database technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient communication skills in Spanish are required, with basic knowledge of English

NICE TO HAVE- Certifications in database administration or related fields
- Experience with media or entertainment industry
- Skills in other database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools
- Experience working in a high-volume, mission-critical environment

ABOUT THE JOB

MISSION

This position is focus on the Administration of SQL Server databases in Global BNP CIB scope to ensure the DBA services provided to the business are stable, resilient and performant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The DBA-SQL Server team is responsible for production support of all SQL Server databases in CIB scope. Support activities include:
- Monitoring and capacity management.
- Backup and recovery.
- Performance analysis / Troubleshooting.
- New Designing an implementation of database systems in BNP Paribas
- Ad hoc consulting to application teams.
- Administering and maintaining databases in operational conditions.
- Providing technical support to users.
- ITIL Change/Incident/Problem Management.

REQUIREMENTS
- Studies
- Bachelor´s in Computer Science preferable but not mandatory.
- ITIL Foundation certificate will be desirable.
- Experience
- 5 years of experience working in an equivalent position.
- Languages
- High English spoken and written fluent (B2/C) - Mandatory
- French spoken and written will be valued

¿Qué reto de proponemos?

Nos encontramos en búsqueda un/a DBA Oracle con experiencia en optimización de código SQL para un proyecto del sector bancario con una modalidad híbrida de trabajo.

Requisitos

¿Qué necesitamos?

Al menos 4 años de experiencia en:
- Administración DB Oracle RAC, RaconeNode en ambientes EXADATA X9M con ASM y Dataguard
- Backup y recovery con rman, en ambientes dataguard, pruebas de disaster recovery
- Optimización SQL y performance tuning en BBDD de grandes volúmenes, problemas de lentitud, bloqueos, etc.
