ROLE SUMMARY:

Inspired Education is looking for educators who would like to be based in Southern Spain and is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Science Teachers with a background in IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) and General Science for secondary students (ages 11–18)

This role offers the opportunity to teach motivated learners in a collaborative, innovative environment that values inquiry, sustainability, and real-world scientific application.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach IB ESS and General Science to secondary students (ages 11–18).
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress in accordance with IB and school expectations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
  • Support the holistic development of students through co-curricular or enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and foster a positive learning environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a closely related Science subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching IB ESS and/or General Science at secondary level.
  • Knowledge of IB assessment, pedagogy, and philosophy.
  • Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and departmental development.
