1Alan
Product Marketing (Lifecycle) - Spain 🇪🇸
Alan · Donostia/San Sebastián, ES
Teletrabajo . Fintech Office
You. Better. With Alan.
Alan is building a vertically integrated health partner that unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery into one seamless system. Our vision is to make prevention the new norm of care for all.
Our mission: Help people live in good health to 100 while helping employers feel proud, turning health benefits from a cost centre into their most valuable investment.
By connecting all aspects of care (private, public, and direct to consumer) we create the most member-centric healthcare experience, reducing claims costs while generating new monetization opportunities.
We partner with tens of thousands of companies across France 🇫🇷, Spain 🇪🇸, Belgium 🇧🇪, and Canada 🇨🇦, serving over a million members.
How we work: our Leadership Principles
- Mission is the Boss — We think long-term and are methodical optimists who take risks, seeking our mission's success above all else.
- Distributed Ownership — Accountable enlightened despots: everyone owns their decisions and results.
- Radical Transparency — All information is accessible and written-first, so everyone can make the best decisions asynchronously.
- Always Growing — Direct, positive, and caring feedback, combined with self-growth ownership.
Alan is scaling rapidly in Spain, and we face a unique challenge that makes our market different from any other: we operate in a B2B2C model where we sell health benefits to companies, but employees often need to be directly convinced to enroll and engage with their coverage.
The opportunity: Spain presents a significant activation, retention, and monetization challenge. We need someone to build our lifecycle marketing infrastructure from scratch - creating systematic, scalable campaigns that drive member adoption, engagement, and loyalty across our growing customer base.
This isn't about one-off email campaigns. It's about building the foundation for how we activate members at scale, unlock upsell opportunities, and create engagement loops that keep members healthy and happy for years.
If you're excited by the idea of building something greenfield in a fast-growing healthtech company, owning measurable business impact, and creating scalable systems that compound over time: this role is made for you!
⭐️ The Produt Marketing (Lifecycle) role ⭐️
You Will Have 3 Main Missions
1/ Build scalable member activation programs
You will be responsible for systematically driving member enrollment and early engagement by:
- Creating automated onboarding journeys for new companies launching with Alan (email, SMS, push, in-app)
- Designing and running live activation campaigns (webinars, virtual onboarding sessions) and in-office activation initiatives to drive enrollment at scale
- Building enrollment campaigns for existing accounts to increase adoption rates
- Designing multi-channel activation sequences tailored to different company types, contribution models, and member segments
- Collaborating with Sales to optimize enrollment mechanics and maximize sign-up rates across all accounts
- Developing Spain-specific messaging and content that resonates with the local market and positions Alan effectively against traditional insurers
2/ Unlock monetization and strengthen retention
You will be responsible for building lifecycle programs that drive revenue and loyalty by:
- Designing and executing upsell campaigns (Flex plan upgrades, add-ons, enhanced coverage)
- Creating engagement campaigns that keep members active and reduce churn risk
- Building segmented programs based on member behavior, health journey stage, and engagement signals
- Identifying opportunities to drive additional value through cross-sell and product adoption
- Establishing frameworks to measure and improve member lifetime value and retention metrics
3/ Own the technical infrastructure and optimize continuously
You will own the technical setup, execution, and optimization of all lifecycle campaigns by:
- Building audiences, triggers, and campaign logic in Customer.io (or similar platforms) independently
- Setting up A/B tests and experimentation frameworks to continuously improve performance
- Analyzing funnel drop-offs, cohort behavior, and campaign metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- Creating dashboards and reporting to track post-sale funnel health and campaign effectiveness
- Troubleshooting technical issues and iterating rapidly based on data signals
⭐️ You may be a great fit if you have ⭐️
Must-haves:
- B2B2C marketing experience: You understand how to market to both decision-makers (HR/admins) AND end-users (employees/members) and navigate the unique dynamics this creates
- Marketing automation mastery: Hands-on experience building campaigns in Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or similar tools - you can independently create audiences, triggers, campaign logic, and troubleshoot issues
- Data-driven mindset: You naturally identify drop-offs, design A/B tests, analyze cohorts, and make decisions grounded in data rather than intuition alone
- Strategic lifecycle thinking: You think in terms of cohesive member journeys across activation → engagement → monetization → retention, not just isolated campaigns
- Multi-channel orchestration: You've coordinated email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, webinars, and live/in-person activations in sequenced campaigns
- Creative execution: You can write compelling copy and create simple visual assets in Figma/Canva without always relying on designers
- Growth obsession: You care deeply about activation rates, conversion metrics, retention, lifetime value, and tangible business impact
- Technical autonomy: You build, launch, and optimize campaigns end-to-end without constant support from engineers or ops teams
- Spanish fluency: Native or fully fluent - you'll be creating Spanish-language marketing content daily
- Experience in healthtech, insurtech, fintech, benefits platforms, or marketplaces
- Knowledge of the Spanish healthcare landscape and competitive dynamics
- Background in high-growth tech/SaaS companies with strong lifecycle marketing functions
- Experience building lifecycle programs from scratch in a greenfield environment
- Ownership: You're a self-starter who drives projects independently from strategy through execution to optimization
- Entrepreneurial mindset: You thrive in ambiguous environments with no established playbook and love building systems from scratch
- Impact-driven: You focus relentlessly on business outcomes and member value, not just campaign activity
- Collaborative: You work effectively across Sales, Product, Customer Success, and other teams
- Customer-centric: You're deeply curious about member needs, pain points, and motivations
- Resilient: You're comfortable with experimentation, learning from failures, and iterating quickly

- Delightful healthcare insurance: Alan's best-in-class health coverage for you and your family
- Flexible remote work: Work from our Madrid office or remotely within Spain
- Flexible leave policy: We trust Alaners to take the holidays they need - no pre-approval required
- Personal growth through coaching: Every Alaner is paired with a dedicated coach from day one to maximize impact and develop full potential. Learn more about our coaching culture
- Learning & development budget: Invest in your growth through courses, conferences, or certifications
- Amazing team: Work with exceptional people who care deeply about the mission and each other
