We are now looking for a

Product & Design Engineer ‎

to join our team working for a better future.

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Porriño, Spain.

What You Will Be Doing

In the seals department, your role will be assisting design of new sealing solutions in collaboration with the team, as well as modelling the required modifications for different installations. Moreover, it will include assisting other departments such as Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply chain or Costs with product-related queries, as well as giving support to customers with issues and/or questions about the designs and products.

On a typical day, you will create or modify the drawings required for quotation and the drawings required for manufacturing. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a certain level of independency, as you will have the support of the current team members, with longer experience in the products.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have some autonomy during the work activities and experience from working with 2D and 3D CAD tools.

As Product & Design Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Creation/modification of product drawings
• Creation/modification of drawings for quotation
• Creation/modification of manufacturing drawings
• Creation/modification of simple designs
• Simple working calculations
• Assist different departments such as Manufacturing, Qality, Sales and Supply Chain with knowledge about the product and porcessses.
  
  

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Knowledge of design tools, particularly experience with Autodesk Autocad, Autodesk Inventor and Vault PLM, Solid Edge, but experience with other CAD tools is valuable.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Some degree of Knowledge of machining processes.
• Experience with the design characteristics and operational conditions of the face seals.
  
  

(In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.)
