At ORTEC ENGINEERING SPAIN, we are strengthening our teams to support a major European next-generation rotorcraft development programme.
We are looking for a Rotorcraft Mechanical Specialist with proven hands-on helicopter maintenance experience to bring the operational perspective required to shape the supportability, maintainability and life-cycle concept of an advanced military helicopter platform.
This is a unique opportunity to move from pure maintenance activities into engineering analysis and design influence within a high-impact aerospace programme.
Job Description
You will provide practical mechanical and operational insight to support the definition of maintenance concepts, support strategies and operational scenarios for a future state-of-the-art rotorcraft system.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the creation of the Maintenance Plan Baseline (corrective, preventive and predictive).
- Evaluating accessibility, feasibility and safety of proposed maintenance tasks.
- Defining operational use cases and realistic maintenance workflows.
- Collaborating with ILS, engineering and training teams (S1000D, S-Series, technical data environments).
- Contributing to advanced training solutions (Maintenance Training Trainers, VR/AR applications, digital procedures).
Profile
We are looking for professionals with the following background:
- Experience as a B1 / B1.3 technician, helicopter mechanic or rotary-wing maintenance engineer.
- Strong experience in line and base maintenance, troubleshooting and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation (AMM, IPC, Job Cards).
- High level of English (minimum C1).
- Availability for occasional travel within Europe.
Job Requirements
- Hybrid position (remote + on-site) based in Madrid or Seville, with possible travel within Europe.
- Candidates must provide an updated CV together with relevant certifications and qualifications.
- Availability to work in a structured, multidisciplinary and international environment.
