Senior Python Developer (100 percent Remote from Spain)

Visualfabriq builds advanced SaaS solutions used by Heineken, Unilever and Mars to plan promotions, forecast revenue and optimise trade spend. Their platform supports commercial teams at some of the largest consumer goods brands in the world. Visualfabriq is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates with a local entity in Spain.
To support their continued growth Visualfabriq is expanding the engineering team in Spain. All roles are fully remote. Candidates will be employed directly by Visualfabriq Spain under a Spanish contract.
The role
As a senior developer you will join one of Visualfabriq’s product teams and take ownership of key backend components. You will help make architectural decisions and support colleagues in building scalable maintainable software. The teams are compact and each one owns its own part of the platform.
Visualfabriq is a product company. The software is developed and maintained in house with long term focus. They are not looking for temporary contributors or consultants. You will work on systems that matter and stay in use for years to come.
This is a great time to join. Visualfabriq is expanding into new markets including the United States. The roadmap is filled with technical and product challenges. The company needs engineers who are motivated by ownership responsibility and real output.
What you will do
• Design and build backend services in Python that handle high volumes of data
• Contribute to architecture sessions and technical discussions
• Lead code reviews and support mid-level engineers in their development
• Improve test coverage delivery processes and code quality
• Work together with other backend teams frontend developers and product owners
• Use technologies such as AWS Docker CloudFormation and modern CI pipelines
What Visualfabriq is looking for
• At least five years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in Python and experience with distributed systems
• Comfortable with NoSQL databases and performance driven design
• Background in product development and long term code ownership
• A proactive mindset and ability to take initiative
• Fluent in English and based in Spain with valid work eligibility
