Join our research group as a PhD student and contribute to these cutting-edge lines of research in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The CellPro Lab investigates how cells grow, divide, and maintain homeostasis.

We focus on two unconventional regulators of the cell cycle — atypical cyclins and inorganic polyphosphate (polyP) — to uncover how they connect metabolism, DNA repair, and cell proliferation. By bridging fundamental cell biology with cancer research, we aim to identify new molecular pathways that sustain life and drive disease.

Contract

– Duration: Four-year full-time contract, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on performance.

– Starting date: September 1st 2026. There is an option to immediate incorporation, to be agreed with the selected candidate.

Salary

– In line with current standard Spanish predoctoral fellowships (Ministerio, Generalitat, etc.).

Position requirements

– Academic background: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry or related fields.

– Career ambition: Highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in pursuing a scientific career.

– Teaching component: Participation in teaching practical courses, up to 100 hours per year.
