Financial Accountant - Accounts Payable

As a Financial Accountant, you will work in the Finance - Global Account Services department.

Working as a key part of the Finance team, you will be responsible for processing invoices on the accounts payable side, making payments, and controlling expenses. You will ensure compliance with accounting policies and play a crucial role in financial decision-making processes. Responsibilities
- Executing supplier’s payments by receiving, processing and verifying the invoices.
- Handling and resolving all vendor queries regarding finance.
- Ensuring accuracy by reconciling processed work through verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Participating in cross-departmental projects.
- Collaborating in the external audit process.
- Collaborating in the implementation of new systems
- Managing the verification of expense reports
- Experienced in finance on the Accounts payable department.
- University degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite/Oracle, SAP, and NAV).
- Fluency in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented, with a professional attitude and exceptional reliability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
- Evolve our Client platform with innovative services and maintain ownership from conception to deployment.
- Leverage data as a powerful tool to design essential elements effectively.
- You will write clean and functional code for both the front-end and back-end. We mainly work with Python/Django & Node.js in the backend with React/VueJS in the frontend, but experience in any other modern language and frameworks is ok.
- Craft and manage services with a focus on robust and scalable APIs and seamless integration, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services.
- We look for developers that can build and run services. Therefore, you will be comfortable with containerising your code.
- Pursue high code quality, backed by a solid testing regime with Github actions.
- Quality is important to us, we expect your code to be testable and well covered with unit and integration tests.
- Position may require being on-call at times.
About You:
- Deep knowledge of algorithms, OOP/functional design, best practices.
- CS Bachelor´s or Master´s (or equivalent proficiency).
- 3+ years of real-world application in tech solutions.
- Proficiency in any modern programming language and front-end frameworks, for example, Python3 and Vue 3, with a willingness to keep learning.
- Experience in applying AI/ML to solve customer problems would be a bonus

Client Lifecycle Management Graduate
Financial Crime and Customer Operations Department
Location: Ebury Malaga - 4 days in the office and 1 day of home office per week
We are looking for a Client Lifecycle Management Graduate to join the CLM Team in our Malaga Office. This role will report to our Client Lifecycle Management Manager. We are looking for someone who can ideally speak Spanish and English, although any other languages will be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Safeguarding Ebury and our existing Clients from financial crime and reputational risks
- Conduct ongoing customer due diligence for corporate and individual clients and partners in compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and internal requirements
- Perform screening checks on client data against sanctions, PEPs and negative media
- Monitoring, cleaning and introducing data in the system to comply with reporting obligations derived from the Anti-Money Laundering regulations

El Contable Financiero Junior trabajará dentro del equipo de Control Financiero y Reporting, reportando directamente a uno de los Controllers Financieros.
El equipo de Finanzas es responsable de mantener los registros contables adecuados tanto a nivel local como a nivel de Grupo, incluyendo la presentación de informes internos y externos IFRS y GAAP locales, así como la presentación de informes a la sociedad matriz, Banco Santander. Responsabilidades
- Responsable de la presentación de informes sobre diversos calendarios y anexos a la empresa matriz y de garantizar que toda la información sea exacta y cuente con el respaldo adecuado
- Identificar oportunidades para la automatización de los informes y trabajar con el equipo de tecnología para crear estas mejoras
- Preparar y presentar informes mensuales, trimestrales y anuales sobre el rendimiento financiero, incluyendo análisis de variaciones y comentarios sobre el rendimiento del negocio y cualquier tendencia inusual.
- Contabilidad y auditoría:
- Gestionar las auditorías de las filiales, incluida la coordinación de todas las solicitudes de los auditores y el cumplimiento de los plazos.
