Join our exceptional team as a Sommelier and play a key role in creating unforgettable dining and wine experiences for our guests. As our wine expert, you will curate our wine list, provide personalized recommendations, collaborate closely with the restaurant and bar team, and contribute to the vibrant and sophisticated atmosphere that makes Aethos truly unique.

Responsabilities

• Curate and manage an exceptional wine list that complements the cuisine and meets the preferences of our clientele
• Stay informed about industry trends, new releases, and emerging winemakers
• Collaborate with vendors and distributors to maintain an up-to-date and diverse wine inventory
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and make tailored wine recommendations
• Provide detailed information about the wines on the menu, including origin, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through personalized and attentive service
• Oversee the proper storage, handling, and presentation of wines
• Train and educate the service staff on wine service techniques and etiquette
• Ensure that wines are served at the correct temperatures and in suitable glassware
  
  
  

Requirements

• Fluent in English & Spanush is a must
• Proven experience as a Sommelier in a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishment
• In-depth knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and vintages
• Ability to create harmonious wine and food pairings
• Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred
• Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
• Flexible schedule
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
• Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
