Camera Assistant — Freelance / Balearic Islands

We're a small production company based in Palma de Mallorca, working across corporate, industrial, and commercial film for international clients. Productions range from single-camera interview setups to multi-camera location shoots with mixed kit.

We're building a short list of reliable camera assistants based in the Balearics for ongoing freelance work.

What the role actually involves

Supporting the DP and director on set. That means kit prep, loading and rigging, focus pulling when required, and keeping the camera department running cleanly — including lighting and audio support on smaller crews. On our productions, the camera department is often two or three people. Everyone pulls their weight across roles.

What we're looking for

Someone who has worked in a camera department — not just operated a camera. You know the difference between a 1st and 2nd AC, you've pulled focus on a proper lens. Formal training is a plus. Proven set experience matters more.

You're comfortable with mixed kit — we work across systems depending on the brief. You take care of gear like it's yours. You communicate clearly and don't disappear between setups.
