As an intern at Smart Charter, you will gain hands-on experience within one of Europe’s leading yacht charter companies, immersing yourself in the world of luxury yachting. Working closely with one of our senior sales managers, you will act as their right hand within the yacht charter department, supporting daily operations and client activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
In this role, you will be in regular contact with clients and support them throughout their entire journey. This includes following up with clients to confirm booking details, reminding them of upcoming payments, and ensuring all customer information is correctly recorded.
You will respond to client questions, provide high-quality customer support and service, and help resolve any issues that may arise before or during a charter. You will also assist with coordinating logistics such as schedules/itineraries.
In addition, you will support the salesperson by handling inquiries from new prospects, understanding their needs, and helping turn these inquiries into confirmed bookings.

You will need…
- Perfect English (spoken and written), any other language is a plus
- To be highly organised and punctual - this is crucial in your role
- To always answer the phone & greet clients with a smile (on your face & with your voice)
- Proficient administration skills (use of computers and Microsoft Office pack)
- Attention to detail
- To respect the confidentiality character of the job
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- To be friendly, patient, proactive & objective driven
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
Working conditions:
- Working hours: 5 days a week (can be during weekends but flexible and to discuss with manager)
- Internship contract: You’ll be officially hired with a legal internship contract, including all the necessary insurance for peace of mind.
- Break time: Take a break of 30 minutes to 1 hour for lunch. Our office is equipped with a fridge and microwave for you to enjoy your meal.
- Time off: Holidays are available (just give your manager a heads-up, and make sure they’re approved by the team). Please note, holidays aren’t typically granted for internships under 4 months and during peak season.
- Dress code: We love a smart, chic vibe. You'll represent the company in style, looking professional and ready to impress.
- Salary: €800 gross per month.
- Perks: Enjoy free access to our gym. Catering is available in the office. Fun start-of-season boat day. 10% discount for friends and family on our boats. Earn up to 20% commission by bringing in your own client who rents a boat with us.
