Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer focused on our Backstage platform, you will lead the infrastructure and functionality of our internal developer portal, supporting and developing integrations that enhance our platform and improve the developer experience. You will work closely with other teams in our center of excellence, (Integration Architecture, Security and QA) to take end-to-end responsibility for our cloud setups, CI/CD pipelines, and production systems, ensuring a stable and high-availability development environment.

In this role, you will ensure that the Backstage portal is fully integrated with the company´s internal services, such as infrastructure provisioning systems. You will implement custom templates and blueprints, maintain a high-quality catalog of APIs and components, and work with tools like EKS (AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service), ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions within a GitOps framework to optimize infrastructure management and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Design, develop, and improve Backstage integrations with other internal services.
- Automate repetitive tasks at all levels, including testing, packaging, and dependency management.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Backstage workflows.
- Monitor the platform´s performance, security, and availability.
- Collaborate on application cloud migration and orchestrated environment setups.

Construcción y Mantenimiento de la Infraestructura de Datos:

Diseñar, construir y mantener pipelines de datos robustos y escalables. Esto incluye la ingesta, transformación, limpieza y almacenamiento de grandes volúmenes de datos (big data) de diversas fuentes.
Seleccionar y configurar las tecnologías de almacenamiento de datos más adecuadas para el proyecto de AI, como bases de datos relacionales, NoSQL, data lakes (por ejemplo, Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, Google Cloud Storage) y data warehouses.
