As a Machine Learning Engineer you will have following key accountabilities:    

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance Machine Learning solutions using best software engineering practices 
• Implement machine learning solutions / pipelines which can scale, in cloud-based environments (AWS) utilizing containerized applications, distributed processing frameworks, CI/CD tools, airflow/ other orchestration tools, terraform/ other IAAC tools, monitoring solutions like Grafana 
• Optimize data science and machine learning models using code optimization, high performance computing 
• Define and implement best practices in Media Measurement’s Data Science solutions with a focus on end-to-end management of the model lifecycle using MLOps practices  
• Actively share Data Science knowledge within our organization and represent NIQ’s Data Science expertise at conferences and workshops

• Ability to fluidly communicate in an English business environment 
• PhD or master's degree that reflects computer science/engineering and statistical/mathematical skills and 4+   years of experience 
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Python and the respective Machine Learning ecosystem  
• Solid computer science/engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity and computer architecture, software design principles and patterns and testing strategies 
• Solid expertise in distributed computing in the cloud, dealing with enormous amounts of data and distributed computations 
• Knowledge of Math, Statistics and Machine Learning (e.g., statistical tests, classification, predictive modelling, handling of missing data, sampling, weighting) 
• Working experience with agile development practices is a plus

Accountabilities:

What will you achieve in this role?

- Create secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure for application development.
- Deploy and maintain self-serve engineering platform tools and applications for CI/CD, observability, security, and more.
- Monitor cloud costs and usage patterns to optimize expenses and reduce the CO2 footprint of our applications.

The Role:

As a Mobile DevOps Technology Specialist, you will be working on the mobile technology powering the Nespresso business, both on eCommerce and IoT landscapes. You will work in a direct-to-customer context with significant volumes and traffic and a very rich feature offering, being part a of large development organization with direct impact to the online business.

As a central part of the software engineering community, you will bring deep technical expertise and knowledge to the product team, being part of the technical reference team for Nespresso mobile applications, focusing on the release process and DevOps practices and tools. - Drive our near shore partner team of DevOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement secure, scalable infrastructure using AWS services and Terraform (IaC).
• Architect and manage multi-account AWS environments using Landing Zone principles.
• Apply AWS networking and security best practices to ensure highly secure deployments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab-CI.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code in Python for automation and tooling purposes.
